Terrence Howard is boarding NBC’s upcoming Law & Order spinoff, Law & Order: Los Angeles, joining Alfred Molina, Skeet Ulrich and Corey Stoll.
Howard will play a new Deputy D.A. who will work alongside Deputy D.A. Morales (Molina). Howard and Molina will be splitting the workload, each appearing roughly in the half of the episodes thus allowing the show to land big feature names and the actors to stay active in movies.
Ulrich and Stoll play Detective Rex Winters and TJ Jaruszalski. Production on LOLA is slated to begin on Aug. 2 for a Sept. 22 premiere.

Funny… this jackass thought he was too good to reprise his role in Iron Man 2, but appearing on television in a startup series is perfectly fine.
Good luck.
He’s great. And it’s a shame. Ten years too soon to even consider television. The quality of representation (both agents and managers) for African American actors is often dreadful because they choose ethnicity over talent. (Yes agents and and managers have talent.)(Can’t speak to his professional reputation however. Specific anecdotes please…)
All the money is in television you dumbasses.
Great! wish his movie career was more on a higher level…at one time he was to be the second coming of Denzel Washington, but it’s hard out there for a brother in Hollywood.
Loved TH in ‘Crash”…one of the best movies ever!Where are the females? I predict this show will last about a half season. Dick Wolfe has not has a sucess since ‘Criminal Intent’ and that is now on cable! We need Eames and Goren back! (and Sam, Epatha,Jesse,Anderson,Sisto, etc.!)
i dont understand why peoplekeep saying he should be better on movies. I understand from a career standpoint and financIALLY IT MIGHT PAY BETTER, BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE SAYING THE TALENT OF WRITING DIRECTING ACTING IS NOT as good as tv. Most of the time IMO tv is better.
Yes, I just thrill with all the electric possibilities of where Terrence’s detective character will go in the upcoming Law & Order: LA. Will he reach the heights achieved by LL Cool J?
As a REAL TH fan, I couldn’t care less if he’s on TV or in a flick-I get to see him now on a more regular basis! Considering the options that Blacks have in film and television, one has to go where the opportunities are. Right now all the movies are about some damn wolves & vampires! All the shows on TV are about cops and lawyers-so more power to you, baby! While I agree that Howard Simmons (or even Michael Ealy) would have been great choices as well, my man Terrence is the bigger name draw, as is my guy Forrest. The real question here is whether or not these guys are happy with their choices. They’re working, so my guess is YES.
I was really excited to hear that Terence Howard was in the LOLA.
I just saw the 1st episode (Sept. 29) and he wasn’t in it. Very disappointed. LOLA will not compare to L & O(Miami, Criminal Intent, SUV). I think Dick Wolfe made a big mistake. At least we have reruns.
I agree T.H. is a very good actor but to say he’s better than denzel is going alittle overboard
Yes, I have to agree! I love TH but there is just no comparison to the acting skills of Denzel Washington. C’mon man! They are both good and comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges. They are two different types of actors
TH- He is the most sexiest actor in my books. His smile and and softness is to die for. He is good where ever he acts but there is room for improvement.
Terry is a cry baby. HOrrible on Law and Order:LA. Sounds like he has emphysema in every scene. More than just chewing the scenery, it’s like he thinks he has a soliloquay every damn scene. ANNNNNOYING as hell. Molina outshines him in every respect.
I love terrence howard hes the best
I can’t wait! Get to see Terrance Howard every week and don’t have to wait for a movie to come out. Great!
he is so beautiful
