Lucy Punch has signed with WME. Punch, who’d been repped by ICM, makes the move at a time when she’s about to open in the Jay Roach-directed Dinner for Schmucks, followed by Woody Allen’s You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, the Nicole Kassell-directed Earthbound and the Jake Kasdan-directed Bad Teacher, which also stars Cameron Diaz, Jason Segal and Justin Timberlake. Punch continues to be managed by The Schiff Company and UK-based United Agents.
CAA has signed Amber Heard, who is coming off Zombieland and will next be seen opposite Johnny Depp in the Bruce Robinson-directed The Rum Diary and opposite Nicolas Cage in the Patrick Lussier-directed Drive Angry. Heard had been repped by WME, and remains lawyer-ed up with Karl Austen.

Lucy Punch left Scott Schachter and ICM only after he had gotten her movie after movie-seems strange and counter productive to switch representation when you are on such a roll thanks to your team. Lucky for WME to be benefiting from all of his hard work.

Perhaps she had to fix screw ups by her reps so she didn’t get shut out of those roles, maybe they had a different career path in mind, maybe she got those rolls IN SPITE of her sloppy work and she was tired of cleaning up after them.
I have no idea what happened, but come on… we all know it’s way more complicated than that.
