Allison Wallach will be based out of NYC in UTA’s Alternative Television Department beginning October 1st. “She instantly becomes one of the senior women working in the unscripted business, which is important to us,” UTA partner Michael Camacho said.
“Allison’s experience as a network programmer as well as her many years working on the buyer side make her an extraordinary asset to the department.” We hear that both CAA and ICM also made her offers. Wallach spent the past 2 1/2 years as the SVP of programming at BBC Worldwide in NYC, where she executive produced and oversaw cable series such as What Not To Wear and The Bank Of Mom And Dad. Before that, she spent 11 years at the Lifetime Network, most recently as VP of East Coast programming, where she developed both scripted and unscripted series for the network. “Over the years, I’ve found myself drawn increasingly towards helping to shape the careers of the creators and producers of the content we all love to watch,” Wallach said in a statement.

We wish Allison well and are excited there will finally be someone with taste and class, capable of representing the East Coast in the unscripted arena!
Mazel-tov!
No shocker there. BBC Worldwide is a fast-sinking ship run by completely incompetent people.
so true… jesus… working with them is like pissing razor blades
GREAT move by UTA…. Allison is so charming and smart and driven. Happy for her. Loved working with her when she was an exec. Ultra-supportive person. Clients will be lucky she is on their side.
love allison! great move by uta.
UTA has a New York office now?
so will UTA be opening some sort of NY outpost?
So thrilled for Allison, she is a smart exec and has great taste in material. Also a real pleasure to work with and a rarity … someone who commissions and actually understands production. Not sure what the deal is with BBC America … they talk about wanting to man up and invest in originals etc. but seem to be paralyzed by indecision and lack of focus.
Yes please enlighten us about the NY office – I would love to work there! Is it just the UEG offices?
Will the new UTA NY outpost be like the old UTA NY outpost – the living room of a junior agent’s apartment.
Curious to know where Kary McHoul is these days? Is she working as an agent somewhere new?
Self obsessed, self promoting, talent free, not an original idea in her head.
Yep, she’s finally found a place she can legitimately call home.. an agency with no morals that has no interest in anything but making money and self preservation. Nice fit.
