With a different author’s name on this book I don’t think it would have been a hit. It’s little more than a plaintive wail against the eeeevils of stem cell/genetic research.
What? It’s a beautifully written and incredibly moving piece of literature. Definitely one of my favorite novels from the 2000 decade.
How on Earth did a terrible, terrible writer like Alex Garland manage to forge a career in both publishing and cinema? Somebody tell me – I need to know.
