CBS’s new daily daytime talk show The Talk will premiere Monday, Oct. 18 and will air weekdays from 2-3 PM. The show, which explores topical matters through the eyes of mothers, is co-hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Brad Bessey, Gilbert, who developed the show, and John Redmann are executive producers.

I can’t think of watching anything more brain-draining — other than Lara Spencer. None of these women (other than Holly Robinson Peete) are interesting.
Funny, I was gonna say they are all interesting except Holly Robinson Peete. lol
Haha. The show will “talk” starting on October 18th and then the show will “walk” by October 25th
Premieres October 18th, cancelled October 25th.
So that would make the last episode airdate no later than January 14th after the 13 week commitment ends.
They could’t even pretend to hide the fact that the show is a rip-off of THE View by choosing a different name instead of THE Talk. What about “Mommy Matters” or “Estrogen Issues”? Couldn’t they even try to think of something that sounds less like THE View?
How about the Rant?
I can’t wait for the PPV event of the decade “THE VIEW” vs. “THE TALK” in a steel cage match.
Now that is something to get excited about.
i actually won’t be surprised if it does well.
wonder if this means lets make a deal will air in the old vacant slot left by as the world turns then the view rip off the talk. which i figure will last till the thanksgiving break and be gone. or maybe by halloween
Xenu must really need the money to force Leah into doing this…
I think this will be one of the most amusing television programmes since the advent of the idiot tube. They should have called it THE TAWK. American audiences, especially audiences who are watching TV at home at 2pm, are effing morons. The show better deal with obesity, unemployment, molestation, incest and teen pregnancy as the victims of such middle America white-trash crimes of existence will be their target audience. I must say KOO-DOS to Bloom and the room for developing a programme for the real American woman. The Stay In The Trailer Mom. This show should come with a NASCAR discount coupon, a six-pack of Schlitz and an ounce of crystal-meth. You will need it to tolerate Julie Chen Chang Chong.
CBS really seems to have deep contempt for women.
$50 sez they have Rosie O’Donell on as a guest to bitch about “The View”. She’ll talk about how mean Elizabeth is, and how Babs stabed her in the back.
When will the stockholders hold Les Moonves accountable for cramming more Julie Chen down our throats. I get it, he want to find another paycheck for wife 2.0 who he finds rather foxy. But the public is not as enamored with her as he is. You are telling me there was nobody as qualified as Julie Chen to be hired in this slot?
YEAH SOMETHING TOO TALK ABOUT WAS ON THE CAMERA/TECHNICAL SIDE/ OF AS THE WORLD TURNS. NOW ABOUT, 30 40 OF US THAT WORKED ON THE SOAP OPERA ARE OUT OF WORK, BILLS, PILING. UP YEAH REALLY EXCITING YEAH RIGHT.ONE HELL OF A MESS WHEN THEY CANCELED US—- BEHIND THE SCENES WE CANT SEEM TOO FIND ANY WORK–
YEAH HURRRAY FOR THE BRAN NEW TALK SHOW BUL ON CBS. I WAS A TECHNICANN/CAMERA/CREW/ TECHNICANN. ON AS THE WORLDS TURNS. MYSELF AND ABOUT 35 OTHER VARIOUS POSITIONS WENT OUT THE WINDOW. OUT OF WORK THANKS CBS, AND OUR BILLS, FUTURE WILL BE SITTING IDLE. PLUS THE VARIOUS ACTORS, ACTRESSEES.
I am so glad to hear about this program. I really like the View, and if it can be only half as successful as the View, I think it will be good. It is soooooooooooooooooooo much better than that crap that they replaced The Guiding Light with, namely that stupid Wayne Brady game show, Lets Make A Deal. Talk about wasting brain cells……maybe we can actually learn something.
just what we need is another gab fest with a bunch of no talent hens! NOT!!! AS The World Turns was an american icon. i grew up watching the show. it was entertaining, and was able to get away for one hour a day, and enjoy my tv family. i’m not saying that soap operas are, or ever have been shakesphere, but it was a way to escape everyday life. at least the troubles of the soap opera families were ficticious. now having another blab-a-thon with real issues will just be a downer. may as well watch CNN all day! will dearly miss my friends in Oakdale, and will NEVER watch this new show. i hope the einstein who pulled the plug on As The World Turns realizes how many hundreds of people she put out of work. i hope someday soon, some young little bean counter does the same to you!!!
Hopefully this show will not be ruined by a 100 yr old egotistical control freak like Barbara Walters!
Barbara continues to let everyone know that The View is her show and the other hosts are just there to marvel in her greatness. It’s really sad the way the other ladies have to sit there like little toddlers whenever Barb is there and in charge.
I really liked the talk its first season. this season with the new hosts sucks!!! Its not the same without Holly &Leah,Idont watch it anymore, its to bad if you dont agree with cbs, they fire you without notice,so much for the morals julie always spoutting about, pretending shes great friends wiyh Holly&Leah than stabbing them in the back, the new show lost its touch its old hags just like the view!!!!
