So babyish he needs to cash in chips, Night Line and Tonight Show are still beating is ass, they were even beating in the reruns. He wants to start the war again. He is right he should be thankful he still has a show.
That’s funny? Hurry and retire Dave—before your shrinking audience grows more bored than you. Nevermind, it’s too late.
Dave’s awesome. The best.
Agreed!
Him and his writers should do a “Top 10 reasons why I should retire!”
….and the #1 reason why I should retire, I’m getting beat by “Night Line!”
Nightline doing better in the ratings tells more about the schlock that they are putting in their “news program” to draw eyeballs than it does about anything Letterman is or isn’t doing.
Joan and AaronSch, wow, don’t get mad, get funny!
Dave is on his last leg, had Brain Williams on the other day, whining to him why he goes on the Tonight Show and not his show, well because he is on NBC moron, wonder why they are beating him.
A big part of the problem today is there’s an over saturation of everything. Johnny Carson didn’t have all this competition. Quite frankly, not even Arsenio Hall had this much competition 20yrs ago. The market is uber competitive and attention spans are shorter. Compounding the problem, is the foolishness that passes for celebrity and talent. Meanwhile, the “cast” of Jersey Shore are ringing the bell on Wall St. lol
Dave really needs to do the honorable thing, & step down while he’s still on top. That’s what Carson did. Do it before facing the humiliation of having CBS let you go. Don’t think for a minute they won’t, if the ratings aren’t there.
