HBO has acquired the U.S. TV rights to the Israeli documentary Precious Life, which is an official selection of this year’s Toronto Film Festival. The documentary, about a four-month-old Palestinian boy from Gaza who was born without an immune system and required a bone marrow transplant that could only be done in an Israeli hospital, was directed by Israeli broadcast journalist Shlomi Eldar and produced by Ehud Bleiberg and Yoav Ze’evi. It will premiere on HBO in 2011.

I wonder if HBO will buy my pitch about vampires in the Middle East.
Another show about Vampires, are you f-ing kidding me. I’m sure they’re just ‘dying’ to hear it. Pun intended.
This is the documentary in which the filmmaker discovers that the mother wishes to see her boy grow up to be a martyr, blowing up Jews in a Jerusalem bus. Nice.
I am pretty sure you didn’t watch the whole movie. If you were, you would have noticed why she took the position (was afraid of what the Hamas will do to her when she returns to Gaza) and how she changed her position. I met Shlomi Eldar and he believes she was much changed. Her last attitude was that she wants her boy to live and will do all she can to advance peace.
Obviously, you did not watch the program. This story opened my eyes to the devastation that war can cause.
I have always thought; “Those people in foreign coutries just want war.” I was so ignorant. As Americans we do not know the day to day scare of bombings and death in such an unnatural way. We worry about our cars, our money, our love life, and our facebook or twitter page. We dont have to fear that we will die just because we are in the blast zone or bacause of our beliefs.
World wide peace should be a desire of all of us.
America is a wonderful country, and I am thankful that I am an American. Please people, understanding and tolerance should be our motto. No tolerance for those who just wish to cause pain. This is our world and our life, shouldn’t everyone with peaceful intent just be allowed to live and pursue their happiness.
Wow, you’re ignorant.
every thread ive ever read on the internet ends in mindless bickering…kinda sad…just sayin…
