    • I completely agree. 3D is best suited for theme park rides and other non-story driven works like Jackass. Otherwise it just distracts from the story and helps hide a film’s inadequacies — good news for most of the 3D studio crap churned out as of late.

• I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again – THIS is the kind of thing 3-D is perfect for. 3-D is a GIMMICK, and when employed as such, can be fun. I’d MUCH rather see movies like Jackass, Pirahna, and Step Up in 3-D than see “real” hollywood films in 3-D. In those cases it actually distracts and takes away from the movies’ content.

• Agreed. I never had ANY interest in seeing either of the two previous STEP UP films. Now: I’m intrigued.

  JACKASS in 3D will make even more money than either of the first two by a significant margin. I can’t wait to see these idiots hurt themselves.

• Wow. If there is anything I’ve ever thought I simply HAD to see in 3-D it’s Johnny Knoxville stapling his balls together or Ryan Dunn sticking a toy car up his ass.

  Also, that poster of Johnny Knoxville jumping a ramp in a jet ski looks amazing! How is that possible!! My, how these stunts just get crazier and crazier each time.

  The first Jackass came out before we could see this sh*t everyday on YouTube. I guess this movie will make a killing with all five of those people who still don’t have internet in 2010…
