Been a while since Mr. Crowe made a film I actually wanted to see… This looks good!
The trailer had me until that last shot with her head hanging out of the car and a truck coming at her. Cheesy editing.
Agreed, but otherwise rocks. I like the line “show me where the bullets go”. I also like Liam’s voice over “within 30 minutes…”.
Looks like another great pic picked by RC. I can’t recall being disappointed yet in any of his flicks.
Is that because you’re his agent?
Agent? Nope. I’m not in the biz except for a script I’ve been kicking around. Does he have one or does he fly solo?
I mentioned “another great pic” since I imagine a challenge to pick which one to be in. Some seem to have good skills picking (Leo DC, RC, Clint E, JD), others less so (DeNiro and Pacino- Two amazing actors that have been in a couple of dudes). I imagine the metrics are script, director, other actors. Not sure if the good ones do a pareto chart when deciding, but there’s a skill there.
But seriously can’t recall being disappointed. All good flicks. Not just because of him, but other actors and/or directors.
Looks like just another cookie-cutter thriller.
“Proof of Life” without the romantic triangle.
In other words, call it “Dead On Arrival”.
It’s actually a remake from a french movie called “pour elle”
Hollywood continues the trend of pillaging French movies instead of telling fresh stories. Get the original “Pour Elle” out on DVD before seeing the Crowe version.
I’m still waiting for filmmakers to ruin A Prophet, like they just ruined Le Diner des Cons and turned it into Dinner for Schmucks.
“Hot Trailer” for who? Upper-middle class Caucasians aged 40-50? Please.
don’t forget ruining the awesome french film, “Tell No One”.
Actually I meant to say: Soon to be ruined at a theater near you, “Tell No One”. I need an editor.
Well, the original “Tell No One” was based on American book. And, good as it is, it’s a straightforward thriller. A new version could be fine.
Ummm, Didn’t they simply replace a brother, for a wive? Hello… Prison Break.
Saw this in a pre-screening…it’s really exciting and Crowe gives another great performance! The beginning was a tad confusing, but once the film settles in, it becomes a great thriller with a solid story. This is the movie that “Salt” wished it could be.
Liam Neeson is an excellent actor, but I’d like to respectfully note that his accent here sounds like horsesh**. Please, for the love of God, hire Americans who actually sound American.
who’s to say he’s playing an american? please, for the love of god, stop posting.
Liam’s making up for the lame A-Team and Clash of the Titans.
Reminds me of Brendan Gleeson in Green Zone. Great actor, but you sound ridiculous.
This film looks great. Paul Haggis is by no means my favorite director, but this looks great.
I went to a screening of the film. It was great – it followed the Blake Snyder beat sheet except for one… The “Fun and Games” section is missing at 30 minutes in. We hit a dead zone for about 20 minutes, but it picked up again and the rest of the movie was great (and it beat out). Some of Crowe’s best work!
This film has a great cast. Even the supporting cast is really great. Daniel Stern is always good. I can’t wait for this.
Such great pedigree in this film. Can’t wait to see it. The trailer looks great.
This film looks seriously amazing. Can’t wait to check it out. It’s about time we had some good thrillers out there.
Really looking forward to this. I love Paul Haggis’ work on Casino Royale and In the Valley of Elah, so I think this could be up there with those two.
Can’t wait to see this. Looks like a great cast and a great film.
Normally not a fan of Paul Haggis, but this looks like it will be good.
This looks great. Can’t wait.
Russel Crowe is the man! Looking forward to this one!
wow…now i really want to see this movie.
Looks badass in my opinion.
Ha! Never seen a heist movie where the guy’s stealing his own wife. Looks awesome — I’m in.
Is RZA in this? Read something about that before. I think it looks pretty cool, and I loved Crash.
