Magnolia Pictures’ Eamonn Bowles acquired U.S. rights to Andrew Jarecki’s All Good Things and will release the film in December. The picture was originally contracted to The Weinstein Company. Jarecki bought back the picture, though Weinstein’s selling foreign territories. The film’s a murder mystery set against the 80s New York real estate dynasty that left scion Robert Durst suspected of killing his wife Kathie. Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst and Frank Langella starred in the film. The film was financed by Michael London’s Groundswell Productions. Jarecki directed Capturing the Friedmans, which Magnolia distributed.

Saw this movie a couple months ago. Loved it. Very smart and styley. Had a great 70′s thriller vibe and surprisingly strong performances from Dunst and Goseling. Or however you spell it. Jarecki deserves a good release.
Yes! So excited.
After what may be the greatest documentary ever made, Jarecki’s feature film debut is very interesting and you so want it to be a better movie — it is odd, not entirely successful but completely involving. Langella is chilling, Dunst is actually very good but it is all about Gosling — great as a privileged NYC boy but downright amazing later on living as a woman and courting Philip Baker Hall. It’s based on the famous NYC Durst murder case.
It is all about marcus hinchey’s fascinating script and great performances by gosling, dunst and langella. Less so about jarecki’s direction.
