Now that Jeremy Renner snagged the big male lead opposite Tom Cruise in the next Mission: Impossible, the focus of Paramount Pictures, director Brad Bird and producers Cruise and JJ Abrams are intent on filling the role of a young female operative. I’m told that Lauren German and Paula Patton are testing for the job. UPDATE: I’m told that Kristen Kreuk will also test for the role…. Superbad‘s Joe Lo Truglio is replacing Fred Armisen in the role of nudist Wayne Dunbar in Wanderlust, the Judd Apatow-produced comedy for Universal which David Wain is directing from the script he wrote with Ken Marino. Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux star in the comedy about a couple that detours from a mundane life to a commune. Generate-repped Lo Truglio just completed the Universal comedy Paul… Ari Graynor has landed the female lead opposite Jonah Hill in The Sitter, the David Gordon Green-directed Fox comedy. She’ll next be seen opposite Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell in Conviction, and stars opposite Anna Faris in What’s Your Number next spring. UTA and Principal Entertainment rep her… Using Twitter (the new publicist) John Cusack informed the world today that he’ll play Edgar Allen Poe in The Raven. This isn’t going to be great news to Sylvester Stallone, whose dream is to play Poe.

Kristin would be great for this role, she has all the skills and a great reputation as to being a cool person/celebrity.
also FU [Obviously they will cast Paula]
I got this link from Kristin’s fan site
http://www.kristinkreukweb.com/
So go suck it bitch
The most important factor in Kristin Kruek’s favor? She’s short enough for Cruise.
I`d go with Kreuk
Kristin Kreuk, please! She is great in martial arts! She is amazing making both roles: the sweet girl and the bad girl!
Pick Paula Patton
Paula Patton is the obvious choice for me. She’s the real actress out of the bunch!
as…if…who the MI:4 chicks are…matters.
not if Keri Russell Michelle Monyhan and Maggie Q…in that red dress…didn’t.
as for…the new guy…
There WERE two distinct superspies; tall dark debonaire Bond, James, and short studly Ethan Hunt.
The presumption that Daniel Craig filled the bill as Bond was a stretch I couldn’t make. Unlike the others, Craig’s bond left me…nowhere. Now Paramount in it’s wisdom has Jeremy Renner taking over the MI franchise because…”he has a Daniel Craig quality” Oh joy! Now we have TWIN superspies that…leave me nowhere.
At least (for decades!) in his films Tom has taken me somewhere. I could count on Cruise. Same case for presumptive MI:3 spy in waiting, Jonny Rhys Meyers. The three MI:3 women stole the show and with the witty home office, I truly ENJOYED MI:3 and had BIG hopes for the Returning Team.
When the franchise shoved aside the FUN cast they left us wanting more from…last time…for James Bond’s kid bro Jeremy…this time… they alienated true blue MI:3 FANS who actually BOUGHT the tickets and rented and bought the DVDs…last time.
So Um…good luck with that.
