First Linda Hamilton, now Timothy Dalton. After casting Terminator star Hamilton to play Chuck (Zachary Levi) mom, NBC spy dramedy Chuck has drafted another 1980s action star to recur next season. Dalton, who has experience in spy fare having played James Bond in The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill, will appear in a multiple-episode arc playing a mysterious stranger who has a history with Chuck’s mom (Hamilton). This marks Dalton’s first series appearance on American television since he guest-starred on Charlie’s Angels in 1979. Dalton, who recently added his voice to the animated hit film Toy Story 3, will next be seen in The Tourist. Chuck returns for its fourth season on Monday, Sept. 20.

This is great casting. I love this show and hope this season succeeds and they recover after Superman’s Brandon Routh put the audience to sleep. Go Chuck!
that show’s still on the air, huh?
Should be interesting. I thought The Living Daylights was one of the best and most exciting of the so-called “serious” Bonds. Dalton was cool, but didn’t get a chance as Bond because of MGM’s financil woes. Wonder if Daniel Craig will suffer the same fate as a two-time Bond. It’s like deja vu all over again.
What could be better than to add Timothy Dalton-a genius choice. Of course he is extraordinarily talented and can play any part believably with entirely different persona and physicality.I will become a fan of the show simply because of this superb casting decision!
