Toldja! Disney Acquires Joseph Kosinski’s Graphic Novel ‘Oblivion’

with tapping into Sam Raimi for Oz, Marvel, Jason Segel for Muppets, and now William Monahan, Disney is really making some smart and ambitious moves
Monahan’s London Blvd is a very solid flick, but he also co-wrote Edge of Darkness, a steaming pile of gook. I’m excited to see what he does with sci-fi
Michael Sugar reps both Joe and Bill
Michael Sugar is the best manager in town by a mile
Who is Michael Sugar’s lawyer?
Chrisg- so true. Don’t forget Fincher and Scott Burns on 20000. Disney is becoming the mecca for the best filmmakers and writers in the business. Now let’s see how the movies turn out.
Yes Disney is making smart development decisions. But in the last 9 months they’ve only green lit 2 movies. Prom and pirates 4. One is a 10m genre movie that will come and go. And another that was green lit when Jerry decided it was. Marvel doesn’t count. So where are the movies?
Frank–sugar is good but Guymon rocks!!!
Nonsense. Those guys at 360 have been trying to copy Anonymous Content (with little success) for over a year now. That whole Mark Gordon deal being a prime example.
Sugar’s clients are far more impressive as well.
Anonymous Content and Michael Sugar rule the world!
Don’t say you weren’t warned.
Michael Sugar is smart, but lazy…
Fred. Seriously. Take a look at sugars list. He’s got 8 directors making movies right now and obviously his writers are working. And robin wright? She was off the grid and now Moneyball and dragon tattoo. Doesn’t come from lazy. I work with him. He’s always working. Always. Lazy is not a word ID use.
Been a Sugar client for 3 years. If you call getting me lots of work, being there around the clock, oh, and producing my movie (it starts principal photography on Thursday) lazy, then you should all hope your reps are as lazy as he is.
