HBO has picked up dark comedy Hung for a third season with a 10-episode order to run in 2011.
Hung stars Thomas Jane as a down-on-his-luck Detroit high-school coach moonlighting as a male prostitute and Jane Adams as his rookie, poetry-loving pimp. The husband-and-wife duo of Dmitry Lipkin and Colette Burson created the show and are executive producing with the pilot’s director Alexander Payne, Michael Rosenberg, Scott Stephens, Noreen Halpern and John Morayniss for E1 Entertainment. Anne Heche, Eddie Jemison, Rebecca Creskoff, Gregg Henry, Sianoa Smit-McPhee and Charlie Saxton co-star. The penultimate episode of Hung‘s second season on Sunday averaged 2.5 million. Its season finale airs Sept. 12.

Good news, it’s a fun show and I love it. If only they could replace Jane Adams, she’s so way over the top. Of course the guys hate it, they’re still not over Tommy Lee and that’s all they can think about, the storylines don’t register with them;)
THIS IS A GREAT SERIES,I LIKE VERY MUCH HUNG BECAUSE THERE ARE SITUATION SO REAL THAT YOU CAN FEEL WITH HUMOR.I LIKE SO MUCH THE CHARACTERS AND THE LOOK OF THE SERIES.I WANT MANY SEASON OF HUNG.
Anne Heche is still in this? Pass. I couldn’t get through the first season with her in it.
This is great news! Hung is an incredible show! The only thing that creeps me out about it is that the brother seems to be in love with his sister.
If this is the best these guys Lombardo and Plepler can do, please get new guys – they are idiots
Love the Sunday night Line-up…too bad that they are too short.
Hung got better this year. Glad to hear that they will be back.
No0w if we can get Entourage to keep going!
great to hear that it has been renewed…but am interested in the direction it will take. the thing about the show is that it reflects current events. the world isnt always a happy place and not everything works out as planned. its does exactly what the producers state – its a dark comedy.
Very Very Glad to hear that they are keeping this show around for another season. I haven’t ever looked forward to a show like I do to this one every week! Cast and story line is great!! Got my Mom totally into it, and we went and bought the first season on DVD, and plan on buying the next ones!!
This TV show sucks. It concentrates too much on his annoying kids.
I hope that HBO Cancels this TV show and brings back Deadwood.
This is my favorite show. Makes me feel young again, having a major “crush” on Thomas Jane. I am an oldie, but just cannot get enough of him. And Jane Adams is hysterical, what an actress. Bet he ends up with the ex wife. She really does NOT love Ronnie. Very original script. Cannot understand all the negative comments, though. Beats all the stupid vampire scripting and murders and blood and gore. Very real life situations and funny scenes in this one. Have loved it from the start and cannot wait for the new season and will hate to see it end as all good ones do.
Hung is an excellent show. I thoroughly enjoy the idea of a man as a father doing what some women as mothers have done to provide for the children. This show just shows male prostitution on a.more high clientele and comical pov. I dont think there would be so many nah sayers if it were a woman
I enjoy the show and hope it makes another year! It is a dark comedy, and I don’t understand all of the negative feedback! If you don’t like it, DON’T watch it….
I love this show–excellent acting, great character development & a hysterical premise. I’ve watched every episode & bought the 1st & 2nd season DVDs so I could see them again.
All the actors are terrific, & Jane Adams is as good as they get.
The casting director deserves an Emmy–everyone is perfect in their part & Ray’s twins are national treasures.
