• This looks terrible. Her accent is awful, his look is greasy, and most appallingly, Venice looks ugly!

    Then again you can’t spell and probably not even pronounce the name “Donnersmarck”.

• Two movie stars who are also fine actors in Venice. That’s enough to get me in the theatre. The more the contrived plot is shown the less interesting it’ll appear.

  • The problem is Johnny looks puffy. He’s not a kid anymore, he has put on the natural weight, and hence the beard. Without it he would look fattish.

  • I agree and I am fan of hers. Maybe it’s me but the woman I find mysterious and alluring and thus compelling are those with little make up on. The images of her on humanitarian causes are much more attractive to me. But, from what I understand of the movie the make-up and style are considered to be first and foremost a feme fatale disguise.

  • “Date Night” was about a bored, middle class MARRIED couple who experience one crazy night of thrills. How is that in anyway similar to this flick?

    This movie is what “Knight and Day” wanted to be.

  • Seriously, having to deal with the music trends in trailers gets tiresome. Muse is the new Coldplay who was the new Moby, etc…etc…it seems each year there’s a new hot band or a new hot sound (Coldplay “Clocks” rip-offs, “American Beauty” soundtrack rip-offs, etc…), and we’re subjected to hearing them in trailers over and over and over and over.

    There’s tons of great music in the Universe to use. Marketing people=lemmings.

  Doesn’t this look like yet another “Killers” (Kutcher & Heigl) and “Knight & Day” (Cruise & Diaz)?

• This role looks like a real stretch for Jolie, throwing her male co-star “I’m WAY too hot for you” looks for about two hours. Did they just CGI cut-and-paste her posing — oops I mean “performance” from “Wanted” into this movie?

  So sad to see another foreign filmmaker capable of greatness get reduced to this.

• Jolie and Depp are a casting director’s dream, and should be quite attractive to worldwide audiences.

  It’s too bad this trailer doesn’t even approach the imagination of how good this pairing might be. In fact, this trailer shouts out to me, “what were they thinking?”.

  It totally lost my interest in this film.

• Tolerable only for its snazzy locations, this is one of the worst trailers in recent memory. Depp looks puffy and Jolie looks like she’s about 50. Depp as action/comedy straight man? Pffft.

• The snarkiness of this board is amazing. SO, you all hate Angelina even though she and Brad actually bring in money both here and overseas. You hate people that actually pay the bills. Nice.

  Why don’t you all go out suck up more to all the folks in Toronto making films that will lose millions for the industry. Make some more posts about how important it is to make more films that no one who actually pays money to see films will want to see.

  I think the trailer looks fun. These two will open the film and it will be a smash overseas. Good!
