This man Zucker did a lot of damage to our industry and the people in it. He is just a mean guy. The idea that he gets a serverance package for his failures and meaness infuriates me. If he is contractually obligated to receive one and got $1.00 more, Comcast has already gotten fleeced and welcome to Hollywood. I hope he takes his money goes away and is never heard from again. But undoubtedly a book is already being ghost written. His blog will be announced shortly. And a date to appear on Live with Regis and Kathy has been reserved for 2011.

Awesome! I just thought of Wallace Shawn as Vizzini shouting that very word.
Also, how about that word as a descriptor for every element of Zucker’s post-Today career?

Oh, there were many shows they didn’t mention, but Kimmel on has a limited amount of time for the opening monologue.

From that great star bloated video I counted at least 30 shows that tanked for one reason or another (or many)….RIP Tony….OOPPPSS….I mean Jeff Z!
Hopefully this will mean an end to those gratuitous and stupid soundbites he used to give about “NBC is in turnaround” after a decently-rated single airing of a new show (The Event, The Marriage Ref, etc.) Why wasn’t there ever a followup quote from Zucker after week 2?

I like Bet The Duck’s comments above. There’s a lot of cheering about Zucker’s demise, a lot of sniping, celebrating, lots of plays on the word “Zucker” but until now nobody who’s been around Zucker and worked with him has really spelled it out. In addition to his mind-boggling programming decisions he’s just a terrible personality – bitter, dark, full of secrets, brooding, vindictive…
He won’t be missed around NBC-Uni. I might also add that his god-awful decision to let O’Brien fall while saving Jay Leno was, and continues to be, extremely unpopular on the lot.
All is not lost, however. There are some good execs at NBC-Uni, some of them are decent people, a few know what they’re doing…let’s try and look at the glass as half full. It’s been a while.

Goodbye Jeff Zucker!
By the way, gotta love that two of Phil Gurin’s shows were mentioned in the list NBC’s epic failures. Note to Phil: people are not interested in fat uninteresting people from the midwest competing in low brow game shows. What’s next World’s Best Hula Hoop family? LOL!

Hopefully, Jeff Cox-Zucker’s severance package will do for Golden Parachutes what the City of Bell did for city workers’ pensions.

HA HA this cheered me up. What’s funny is that actor is actually MUCH better looking than Jeff Zucker. they could have at least tried to make him look more miserable.
