Nice to see Larry Kasdan will be back behind the camera directing Darling Companion, an indie that stars Diane Keaton as a wife who loves her dog more than her husband, and Kasdan regular Kevin Kline as the husband who loses his wife’s beloved dog. Richard Jenkins and Elisabeth Moss also star. The film begins production later this month in Utah.
Sebastian Gutierrez has finished his latest, Girl Walks Into A Bar, which ended up with a cast that includes Carla Gugino, Zachary Quinto, Danny DeVito, Josh Hartnett, Rosario Dawson, Kevin Zegers and others. That the film’s being revealed after it finished production usually means they shot it on the sneak from the unions, but then again, how much budget could they have at their disposal for a film specifically made for web and not theatrical distribution?

Love Kasdan, very cool to see him teaming up with Kline.
Damn. When I saw the “Lawrence Kasdan Back In Saddle With Kevin Kline” link on IMDb, I was hoping it was going to announce some more Siverado goodness.
This is good news. Dreamcatcher was a piece of 90 million dollar shit, but when you direct Big Chill and Silverado and Body Heat, not to mention write Raiders and the second two Star Wars films, you don’t deserve movie prison for ten years.
Finally…an adult (Kasdan) making movies again! Watch how it’s done kids!
Kasdan is a fantastic director and a damn-near national treasure. Great to see him directing again.
