Netflix and NBC Universal announced an expanded license agreement through which Netflix members can watch a selection of broadcast series from the NBC television network and – for the first time on Netflix – content from some of NBC Universal’s cable channels. The multi-year deal kicks off next week. Available are:
- Episodes from every season of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” including day-after broadcast of the upcoming 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons plus hundreds of episodes from the first 35 years of “SNL.”
- Every episode from the last season of “30 Rock,” “The Office” and “Law & Order: SVU,” as well as earlier seasons of those shows renewed for streaming from Netflix under the current deal.
- All prior seasons – and eventually next year’s final season – of “Friday Night Lights.”
- All prior seasons of USA Network hits “Psych,” drama “In Plain Sight” as well as all seasons of “Monk.”
- More than 75 prior season episodes of Syfy’s “Battlestar Galactica,” as well as prior seasons of the network’s popular series’ “Destination Truth” and “Eureka.”

Paramount deal, NBCU deal, South Park deal – Netflix is where the momentum is headed.
Does anyone know the rate card that Netflix offers on these deals? Any idea of licensing fees? How do the residuals work on the Paramount deal?

There is no way Comcast does this deal! They want this programming for their On Demand service.
Does anyone else find it curious that this announcement comes moments after Zucker announces he’s not going to be with Comcast?
FINALLY—Battlestar Galactica is coming to Netflix streaming! This is great news.
I’m also excited about Friday Night Lights (just started watching it) and Psych, which I’ve heard great things about.
Does this deal include Canada too??
