The CW has picked up 6 additional scripts each of Hellcats and One Tree Hill. While short of a full-fledged pickup, a script order is usually a good indication of a network’s faith in a show and often is followed by a back episode order.
Four CW series launched this fall with 13-episode orders, freshmen Hellcats and Nikita, veteran One Tree Hill as well as sophomore Life Unexpected. The extra script orders comes after both Hellcats and One Tree Hill held well in their first airings against fresh broadcast competition this week. As for Nikita, it has only aired 2 episodes so far and is yet to enter the big fray tonight. Things are more complicated for LUX, which, despite its quality, cannot seem to find a wide audience and has been the worst ratings performer on the CW this fall.

Id like to act as a spokesman for the uk. LUX is awesome there are plenty of people in the UK that watch it even if the people of the US dont. Lose this series and i really think you will lose a great programme and possibly some viewers!

It was expected. Hellcats is doing well for the CW. The legacy shows (One Tree Hill, Smallville, Supernatural, and ATM) all have a solid core of audience that will stick with them no matter what.
I don’t think the CW can cancel LUX. They have zero replacements for it. And I don’t think you want to pair new episodes of One Tree Hill with repeats of 90210 or Top Model. I love the show and it sucks that it’s struggling to find an audience in season 2.
Go One Tree Hill! If CW cancels this show during this season I will NEVER watch the CW again.
I agree with you kinda – I can’t get enough of Vampire Diaries but other than that no more CW for me if One Tree Hill gets trashed! Its my number 1 show on television!
So happy for OTH and Hellcats. DEFINITELY hope Nikita gets a full season as well. It’s an AMAZING show.

YAY for Hellcats! Nikita on the other hand can go away. I don’t need another remake of a remake,and I like the 90′s version better. I also don’t think I even remember any advertising for LUX so that my be why they have a lower number of viewers

Damn it, I love Life Unexpected and will be very disappointed if it gets canceled. It’s sweet, interesting and has a solid cast I can get behind. It may not be appointment viewing, but it’s a good show that deserves a slot.

I’m very excited about this.. I’m also very excited about the possiblity of Hil and Chad returning for Brookes Wedding which better be soon if we don’t get picked up for a whole season.. haha
ABSOLUTLEY love OTH! SO excited they got picked up for a few more episodes!!! Birng on Season 9!!! Season 8 has definitley picked up all its old fans cause of the shows new twists and storey lines!!!
