The more things change in Hollywood, the more they stay the same. So Sarah Michelle Gellar has left CAA and returned to ICM and Eddy Yablans. When ICM last repped her, she starred in the iconic Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV series, and feature films including Cruel Intentions and The Grudge. She’s still managed by Joanne Colonna at Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
Leaving CAA to go back to ICM agent Brian Bunnin is Kevin Zegers, who had a breakout performance in Transamerica and whose other credits include 50 Dead Men Walking, The Perfect Age Of Rock ‘N Roll, The Jane Austen Book Club, Normal, and The Narrows. He’s still managed by Jason Weinberg and Justin Grey Stone at Untitled.

KZ was supposed to be the new “fill in the blank” after TRANSAMERICA. Apparently CAA didn’t think so…?
How long before Paul Thomas Anderson also rethinks his jump and leaves CAA after they royally screwed up the whole deal for THE MASTER leaving him with no actors and no money to make it? Also what was he thinking going to (and trusting) CAA when Tom Cruise is one of their biggest clients?
The question now is will WME take him back (given their past troubles) or will he go somewhere else like Verve which specializes in writer/directors?
Remember when “The Grudge” opened big and there was talk that maybe SMG was a movie star? She is pretty talented though. She deserves more work.

Sarah is one of the best TV talents around (and she was the best thing about Cruel), it’s a pity she hasn’t found her footing since the Buffy years.
Hard to focus on the tip 2% and still work hard for these folks. This is a testament to ICM’s hard work on their behalf. Glad they woke up and returned.
It is nice to see the good guys win out. It is a win for all parties Eddy and Brian are both terrific agents. I’ve worked with them both and they have genuine passion.
Uh, lets get one thing clear…. Bunnin and Yablans are NOT the good guys.

ICM agents can’t manage stars and that is all there is to it. However, they CAN manage RECOVERING stars (Pacnio, Rourke) or artists that are not YET stars (Maggie Grace). But as soon as they become bankable… BAM! Out the door (Matt Weiner). That’s the way they’ve been doing business since the 90s. And thats why every gifted part of upper mgmt has also parted ways with them. People are tired of making Jeff Berg’s house payment, plain and simple.
And between Chris Brown, T.I. and Roman Polanski; they may need to select clients without criminal records if they really wanna keep the lights on.
I keep waiting for SMG’s latest movie to come out… sigh..
I think she just doesn’t want to embarass Freddie by how successful she could be…compared to his own flops. Come on Sarah! Forget the loser and make another block buster!
I also can’t wait to get her new movies. However, she and her husband, seemingly, are a solid real couple, and I don’t think that is the issue. I think, she is embracing motherhood and accepting roles that are diverse and challenging! I have the utmost respect for her and her work!!
I am a Massively huge fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar, and anytime a movie comes out with her in it, I am always pleasantly surprised! I can’t wait to get “Veronika Decides to Die”. She is such a major, major talent, and I don’t understand why she isn’t getting more work! It seems like Hollywood wants to promote these trashy, no talent impersonators, but when you have a talent like SMG, you should recognize it and take advantage of it! I own everything she’s in, except, Veronika decides to die”, and I can’t wait to get it and see her in more movies!! What a talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would venture to say, I am your NUMBER 1 Fan!!! What a classy, talented, real, lady with such substance!
