• This video is lame. It is poorly conceived and executed. It’s about as clever as some of the skits I wrote in sixth grade. It only reinforces my belief that the well has run dry for Mamet and he has way too much time on his hands. It’s not funny. What’s the point?

  I have as much or more contempt for the preciousness about the art of acting on display in the actor’s studio interviews. The show is an easy target. But once again Mamet betrays his supreme arrogance and fervent conviction that the writer is God and the actor merely a puppet. You will find this sentiment on display in the self-aggrandizing tripe he doles out from his high horse in his book “True and False…” which is his unsolicited advice to actors. Thank you David! I don’t know how I’ve survived as an actor in the business for twenty years without your searing wisdom and insights!
