This weekend Summit Entertainment will re-release The Twilight Saga: Eclipse “allowing moviegoers to celebrate Bella’s birthday with their friends” in 1,187 theaters in North America. No, this isn’t a joke. Right now, the pic’s hefty tally is domestic $298.8M and foreign $372.8M.
Editor-in-Chief Nikki Finke - tip her here.

An obvious ploy to push Eclipse past $300M domestic. Nothing more, nothing less.
Correct. That’s exactly what it is. Milk it baby…
God bless ‘em though. The industry needs more moneymakers like this for the health of the industry as a whole. For the sake of my friends and colleagues who need work to survive on the production side, as well as the state’s economy in general, I just wish they’d shoot these films in Califormia/Los Angeles.
Bro, this is so true! I’m so glad I’m finally seeing someone posting what I’ve been wanting to say for awhile. The industry needs consistent hits right now. People need to stop bitching about any movie’s success. That is good news for some people.
As far as I know, only the first one filmed partially in LA. Now it’s only in Canada.
Guess that answers the question of if we’d get any posts from you on your vacation, Nikki.
I say who gives a damn really as long as they drag on Eclipse at the theares the longer I get to see the Pattz
Happy Birthday Bella!!!
I guess I could see releasing the first two, but Eclipse JUST left the theaters, so it’s not like some big thrill for the fans…. weird.
Actually foreign is $391.2M
I was at the park the other day with my daughter and though I’d read all the stories and heard the anecdotal evidence, it was the first time I heard some woman say, “Come on, Bella!” to her toddler and was like, “OMG – RLY?”
It’s okay… the girls need their own “Star Wars.”
