EXCLUSIVE: Donald Trump has been a fixture on NBC for most of the past decade as the star-executive producer of the long-running reality series The Apprentice and partner with NBC on the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. Now Trump has formalized and expanded his relationship with the network by signing a rich multi-year first-look deal with NBC Universal for his company Trump Prods. Under the all-encompassing pact, Trump and Andy Litinsky, president of Trump Prods., will create, develop, and executive produce scripted, unscripted, animated, and syndicated TV projects for NBC Universal’s broadcast, cable and syndication divisions. Trump Prods. is currently in production on the 4th cycle of Celebrity Apprentice which will premiere in January, with a regular Apprentice
series now airing on NBC. On the development side, Trump Prods. and 44 Blue Prods. are producing Keep It In the Family, a business-themed reality pilot for the CW based on a BBC Two format which is now casting, and has partnered with Canada’s DHX Media for The Trump Universe, a futuristic animated project in the vein of The Jetsons. Additionally, the company has received second season renewals for dating series Donald J. Trump Presents: The Ultimate Merger on TV One and sports series Trump’s Fabulous World of Golf on the Golf Channel. It has also negotiated a renewal with NBC for both Miss USA and Miss Universe through 2013. Trump Prods.’ series credits also include MTV’s Pageant Place and The Girls of Hedsor Hall.

You got that right…. this was a very good reply…. I mean how can you possibly compare the way things were when Trump began and the state of our country today…. So many companies are no longer making products they once made here in the USA. US Steel for one I can say changed the living conditions here in Pittsburgh Pa and I know there are many other Corp, who are no longer producing in this country but have chosen to go to China or India to produce what they once did here… THE JOBS ARE NOT AVAILIBLE HERE any longer… IT is a LIE to say People who cannot find jobs because they are just lazy and don’t have ambition…. This is abusive to the problem that America no longer has the jobs available that it once had. Yet we continue to grow in Population. We continue to graduate out of collage and trade schools with no where to go when they finish…. It is NOT the same America that Trump became so big in. Outsourcing is what is done today… How can we outsource jobs… loose the industries we have continued to loose and still lie to ourselves and to each other that the jobs and the opportunity they bring are still here…Time for a “reality Check” Greg.

What’s so amazing about a guy whose father set him up for success and he fulfilled his end of the deal? Not to take anything away from Trump but it would’ve been amazing if he failed. I find people who come from NOTHING and overcome insurmountable odds to succeed in a system designed to deny them amazing. Men like Reginald Lewis (Beatrice Foods)and Don King. On a level playing field guys like them would run roughshod over glorified trust fund babies like Trump.

Trump is a character made for the times. And Andy has put together a solid slate of shows over the past couple years. I think both of them have a pretty good instinct for what ingredients make good television… and that’s a quality most in this town lack.

Litinsky is a monster. He’s either the next Mark Burnett…or I agree…will be running one of the networks. He’s a rare find in this town.
It’s a First Look deal? I have a First Look deal with NBC. The fall season began 8 weeks ago and I have yet to take a first look at a single NBC show.
Litinsky and Trump do not get it. NBC is DEAD to viewers. This is about as prestigious as if they’d inked a deal with a cable access channel. And why is NBC even offering deals to the architects of The Apprentice when it’s clear from the ratings that viewers are sick of this crap?

I love whenever anything NBC-related is announced there’s an outpouring of praise on Deadline.com and then when the ratings come out about eleven people around the country tuned in for the actual show. If the NBC comedies were half as funny as the inept losers shilling for NBC they’d be better off.
Can’t wait for THE TRUMP UNIVERSE! I hope it’s an entire block of animated shows ala The Disney Afternoon. It could air on NBC Saturday mornings. TNBC! The T stands for Trump.

Won’t watch any NBC shows because of the Conan thing. Sorry. Everyone seems to under-estimate the affect this had had/is having on NBC’s fall slate. Sure, a lot of the shows suck, but there’s mroe going on. Millions of Americans under 50 are avoiding and will continue to avoid the network.

Just the other day I looked out at the Pacific Ocean and he was walking across the water towards me….then I saw him turn water into wine and feed five thousand people with a small ration of bread and fish. He is to creativity what Jesus was to Christinity. We are lcuky to breathe the same air.
