EXCLUSIVE: In their first development season following the end of Ghost Whisperer‘s 5-year run on CBS, the series’ executive producers Kim Moses and Ian Sander of Sander/Moses Prods. have set up 3 new drama projects — 2 at ABC, Afterwives and Inhuman, and 1 at CBS, Chicago Fire. The 3 shows are in addition to Ghostworld, a drama about the intense connection between a ghost and an ambitious young female homicide detective from What About Brian creator Dana Stevens and director Alan Taylor (Mad Men), which was put on fast-track development by ABC in May. All 4 dramas are produced by ABC Studios where Sander and Moses recently signed a new overall deal.
Afterwives is a nighttime soap written by popular chick lit author Jennifer Weiner (In Her Shoes) and Michael MacLennan (Queer As Folk). Inhuman is a close-ended thriller written by feature writer Michael Cooney (Identity), with Mark Pellington on board to direct. Chicago Fire is an action character drama written by feature writer Lewis Colick (Charlie St. Cloud). On the unscripted side, UTA-repped Sander/Moses recently set up reality show Ghost Town starring psychic Maureen Hancock at ABC Media Prods.

Can’t wait to see their projects. I loved Ghost Whisperer. It kept me captivated and entertained for an entire hour…..that’s rare today! Please post when they will be aired so I can tune in.
Alan Taylor should not be attached to such garbage. He is way too talented for this crap. Ghost Whisperer was like a Harlequin Romance novel in its story telling. These producers are very nice hacks. Alan Taylor should fire his agents for putting him on this gig.
Wait till he gets mindless notes on his elegant work from the team at ABC. His head will explode.
Ugh. Agree with Jonathan. Why is Alan Taylor attaching himself to such garbage. They keep making the same show. But so does Jerry Bruckheimer and Dick Wolf. Oh network TV. How low it keeps falling.
The story of ghost town seems like it would do very well, I am drawn to it as it is a reality, a true, vs a made up story line, and I have always been fasinated by the ‘other’ world that is around us and do believe that ‘ghosts’ and ‘spirits’ are all around it just takes special folks to see them. I hope to see this show picked up…. it will be differnt than any other one. Good luck.
I loved Ghost Whisper so needless to say I’m so excited about these new ventures! Good luck!!!
