Here’s a new and longer trailer for Casino Jack, the George Hickenlooper-directed drama about the rise and fall of lobbyist Jack Abramoff that’s being released December 29 by ATO Pictures to take advantage of a strong performance by Kevin Spacey. Nice to see Jon Lovitz back in a movie.

This stuff is likely still going on. Why else would we still be subsidizing sugar with the widespread obesity, etc.? I’d make all politicians record all interactions with the public and upload on the Internet. Both sides spend way too much time trying to get re-elected vs doing what is best for the country.
Ps – Also reduce the benefits (pensions, etc.) to make getting re-elected so attractive. Give them 401Ks like the rest of us.

perfect role to expose Spacey’s sleazy side!.. trailer looks brutal as does the production value from Toronto. Can you say bomb… but I guess it’s all about the academy nod for this one.. no wonder no one wanted to buy it.

Yes, great to see Lovitz. Aside from that, it’s another one of those terrific stories, that plays on screen without a hint of authenticity — all very polished and geared for great clips and water-cooler moments.
I saw the film in Toronto. It was pretty amazing. Oscar nomination for Spacey for sure. He is in true form. The film is also unexpectedly very funny. Lovitz and Pepper have great chemistry. I think the movie will surprise a lot of people. Hickenlopper did a great job. I also dug ‘Man From Elysian Fields.’
The older he gets, the more Kevin Spacey looks like Bela Lugosi and acts like Ethel Merman.
Anything with Kevin Spacey is a sure hit, he is an excellent performer I love his movies and done his role remarkably.
Why do commenters here either thin the movie looks awful and is going to bomb, or is an Oscar contender that will be a hit?
because all hickenlooper does besides make bad movies is comment on deadline about how great they are.
I saw a test screening of this last year at the Denver Film Festival (director George Hickenlooper’s brother is Denver mayor John Hickenlooper) and the audience loved it! Great performances by Kevin Spacey as well as Kelly Preston and John Lovitz. Has the potential to be a sleeper.

Kevin Spacey’s fan club is out in force, but I don’t think it’ll save this movie based on the trailer. Looks campy and boring.
I saw the film as well. It’s a fun ride, albeit occasionally marred by a squeaky chassis and faulty brakes whenever Kelly Preston is on screen. I mean wow is she bad.
