So… Gerard Butler won’t be back as Stoick? That’s disappointing. Enjoyed hearing him using his own Scottish accent for a movie.
I’m sure he’ll be back. It would make a lot of people sad if he wasn’t. Maybe he’s not as prominent in the sequel? I don’t know. But if he isn’t back I sure will be unhappy.
Dean DeBlois is one of the truly good guys in this business as well as being tremendously creative–it’ll be interesting to see how he does without his also brilliant but more mercurial partner Sanders.
I loved HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, but I think a lot of it was Chris Sanders. I hope what he brought to the first one will be present in the sequel.
And I’ll look forward to THE CROODS.
I didn’t even know they were planning a sequel. I am a bit sceptical. Maybe you are surrised, but I think that “How to Train Your Dragon” is the kind of movie that should be left alone. Even if there is room for another story, its sometimes best to stop early.
I also believe that How to Train Your Dragon should be left alone and no sequel should be made.
I loved HTTYD, and also attribute it to Sanders. I suppose it’s possible they have something else for Sanders to do, something new and great. Otherwise why not keep him involved? I wonder if there was tension between him and DebLois — apparently there was plenty on Lilo and Stitch. (Another movie I LOVED.)
O0h my god!,i just cant believe that chris is not going to be directing the sequel with dean. What i intend to mean is that the majic works when they both work on the project together.Well lets keep r fingers crossed and hope that dean suprises us with a great sequel or i think this movie deserves to be Left alone with out a sequel.
I am a huge fan of How to Train Your Dragon. Is DreamWorks really going to make a sequel?
I can’t remember who voiced Ruffnut and Tuffnut, but I hope they’ll be back. They’re my favorite characters.
