Great news for Law & Order: Criminal Intent fans: Kathryn Erbe, who portrayed Detective Alexandra Eames for the first 8 seasons of Dick Wolf’s crime drama, has signed on to return for the show’s tenth and final season on USA. She joins Vince D’Onofrio, who recently inked a deal to reprise his role, meaning that CI will be back for its eight-episode final season with both of its original leads who were let go in a cast overhaul last year. “We’re thrilled to have Kathryn Erbe return as Detective Eames, the perfect complement to Donofrio’s Detective Goren,” said USA’s president of original programming Jeff Wachtel. “We now have the definitive team for the ultimate season of this phenomenal show.” The 10th season of CI will air on USA next year.

This is wonderful news…wondered what happened to CI as I have not seen it on long time. It was never the same when Vincent and Kathyrn had to share the show that wa so successful before…then after they left, everything went down from there. I am so excited that my favorite L&O duo will be back for at least one more year of 8 episodes. Who knows: if it is large enough hit, maybe it will be continue after year 10!

Wish they didn’t kill off Bogosian..They definitely got to get some sort of closure on the cpt. ross murder.. hopefully they snatch up the guy that did him in…Goldblum was coooool but Vincent and Kathryn Erbe are just amazing together!
Can’t wait until D’Onofrio faints and endlessly calls in sick as he did after the 2004 election as the Congress goes Repub. Hope the producers have a plan B.

I am also thrilled to see Vince D’Onofrio and Katheryn Erb return but what about getting Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance back too???? I hate to see the series end (big boohoo!) but if it does have to end I think this cast would be IDEAL!!!!

What a relief! Neither of them should ever have been put through the hell of getting fired in the first place (and Bogosian too). I would have loved to be in on those phone calls where USA came groveling back to the true and only real stars of CI. USA is sure to see LOCI’s ratings skyrocket compared to season 9. Ah, power to the viewers and loyal fans!
At least we know he’s not busy filming Flash Forward…

Wow, I am delighted to hear Vince D’Onofrio and Kathern Erb will be back on CI. CI is my favorite of the Law & Order series, but I just can’t even get through an episode with Jeff Goldbloom; he is so boring and doesn’t put any enthusiam into his acting on this series. I don’t even watch it and am so elated that Vince and Kathern will be back. I am sorry to hear this will be the last season . . . why? The storylines are so good. Chris Noth was good also; please keep it on the air longer.
