It is officially Back to the Future week. A day after footage with Eric Stoltz as the original Marty McFly hit the web, Spike released a teaser for its upcoming Scream Awards that will feature a Back to the Future reunion celebrating the original film’s 25th anniversary and featuring cast members Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson and Elizabeth Shue (who co-starred in the sequels). The video is a frame-by-frame recreation of the 1985 teaser for the first Back to the Feature movie with Fox. (For the nostalgic, that teaser is under the Scream Awards promo). Except for the little tremor, Fox is still his boyish self.

Chills! This is extremely well-made tribute. Amazing to see Michael J. Fox in a jean jacket again. Too bad Universal went the cheap route with Fathom Events. Back to the Future deserves a “real” rerelease to celebrate its 25th anniversary with new prints and a significant screen count. Well, I hope the Blu-Rays don’t suck or have any problems like the first release on DVD back in 2003.
Still the greatest trilogy ever made.
Ya! Well, except for the second and third movie. Other than that, the trilogy was better than the original Star Wars trilogy, Godfather trilogy and Lord of the Rings trilogy!
Really. The first movie was great, I’ll give you that. The second was not good and the third was okay. Hardly the greatest ever made.
Disagree. Thought the second one was an excellent follow-up, weaving in events of the first, and the third one a great near standalone that was a lot of fun.
God Bless Michael J Fox! How wonderful to see a nod to his great past. One can only wonder what amazing performances we’ve been robbed of by hideous Parkinson’s disease. Let’s all pray for a cure for this fine man and all who suffer like him.
It’s been 25 years???!!!
That’s not possible…
oh wait yes it is, I’m old now.
Damn.
Elizabeth Shue is NOT IN THE ORIGINAL FILM.
One word: AWESOME!
No Christopher Lloyd?
The first film was perfection.
Back to the Future II is highly underrated. Sure, the tone is bleak and the cliffhanger ending was unsatisfying, but the story was very clever and deftly executed. And MJF was terrific in all three.
Part III was weak.
Amazing. These films NEVER GET OLD. Even when we cross the 2015 mark and don’t have flying cars, they will still be infinitely watchable. That teaser, with the Huey Lewis music, really brought the memories back.
Note to Christopher Lloyd, Crispin Glover, Biff and Flea… you gotta be there too!
I still admire the sacrifices Mr. Fox made making the film. While the studio allowed him to film the movie during the filming of his hit TV series, Family Ties, he lost some sleep during that month (or more)because he had to film Family Ties by day and then hit the FUTURE set through the night shooting of the film.
The original film holds up even today for it’s humor, effects and originality of the idea. Many thanks to all involved.
@Tree In The Forest: Stop shouting. Re-read the post. Carefully. Stay quiet and still for a minute. Then read it again. Now reply. Or better yet, continue staying quiet.
Saw Michael in an interview with Gilbert Cruz in TIME Magazine and I guess he is doing great though he still suffer in Parkinson’s but he looks good though.
The original was simply a PERFECT MOVIE. PURE MAGIC to this very day.
