EXCLUSIVE: On the heels of his first pilot order last season, CBS’ The Odds, Jeff Wadlow has landed two projects this season, Hail Mary at CBS and Rush at the CW. Both are from Warner Bros. TV and Silver Pictures, which also produced The Odds. Hail Mary is about a female P.I. in the South who partners with her murdered son’s best friend. Rush is about undercover cops working the New York nightclub scene. Wadlow is writing and executive producing both projects with an eye to direct the potential pilots. Beau Bauman is also producing. The Odds, a buddy cop show set in Las Vegas, was considered a solid pilot whose second cut tested well. It became known as “the other Vegas buddy show” as CBS also had the Vegas-set light legal drama pilot The Defenders, which ultimately got picked up to series. WME-repped Wadlow’s feature credits include Cry Wolf and Never Back Down.

YES!!! Wadlow mastered the teen genre with Cry_Wolf and Never Back Down. Can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve for big kids.
This guy is the next Aaron Sorkin or David Mamet. Cry Wolf and Never Back Down are both in my top 5. EVER.
Truly one of the hardest working men in Hollywood, from features to TV. Good for him.
Jeff’s a good dude. He’s Katie Couric’s nephew, so CBS is a natural fit.
Not surprized. Jeff’s script for The Odds was top notch.Hopefully execs will let him direct his own material this time.
Jeff is a hyper-talented and hard-working nice guy and once you’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with him, you only want to see creatives like him soar to new heights.
Congratulations to Jeff!
Jeff Wadlow is very talented and under appreciated. Great to see his successes coming to light now. Look forward to hearing what he is working on in the feature side.
Wow, look at all the shills and FOJs – Friends of Jeff’s.
The truth is, this guy trades on his connections and has very little talent. Not pleasant to be around, either.
Wrong! And not related – talking from experience.
I thought he got boxed out of the The Odds during production.
Wow, a CW pilot that I’m actually looking forward to? Last week there was Samuel L. Jackson’s Hawkshaw, now this? Me like it C-dub!
Jeff’s a very talented guy, The Odds would have had a much better shot if they had let him direct the pilot. Great person and a natural born leader as well.
Jeff Wadlow is the real deal. This guy is definitely going the distance.
Another person in Hollywood getting by on connections. He’s Couric’s nephew you say? Gee, I wonder how he ever got a break?
Can’t wait until some director has the balls to have a picture taken without headphones around his neck. So f’ing gay. And not gay in a gay way I mean in a lemming way.
Thank you.
Jeff actually went to Yale and then USC’s Stark Program – so to say he’s trading on some nepotism from a newscaster is pretty absurd.
That said – Cry Wolf and Never Back Down should put him in director jail for at least another 5 years…
Actually Jeff went to Dartmouth. Beau went to Yale. CRY WOLF was made for barely $1m and got a studio release which ain’t bad in my book. And NBD was always going to be seen as a KARATE KID ripoff, but that’s not Jeff’s fault. The film is pretty well directed.
Hey naysayers – you need to find someone else to bash because I got to know Jeff as we both matriculated out of film school and he is not only a solid director who comes in on budget, but is tirelessly developing new material, is supportive of other filmmakers (unlike you, from what I read here), and does not trade on an familial relations, as one dip-shit wrote…
With those in the supportive cabal, Jeff, I bid you–
Congratulations!
ps to the craft service squads on these shows: No nuts anywhere on the tables!! (inside joke, if he’s reading)
LOL I bet I know who wrote this… and I agree with it 100%. Jeff is a nice guy and has the goods. And Beau Bauman is one of the NICEST dudes you will ever meet, I really like that guy. Anyone who nay-says this team is just jealous. God bless to the both of them. We all benefit if it means better quality TV that’s worth watching…
Jeff is a class act and very talented. Anyone who has worked with him will say the same. Its great to see a guy who actually deserves to direct back behind the reins. Congrats Jeff, you deserve everything coming to you.
Jeff and I went to college together. He is an extremely hardworking and passionate. Everything he has he has worked for himself. So proud of Jeff and so happy for him. I am sure there is much more to come from Mr. Wadlow.
