I’ve learned a bit more about Fox News lead news anchor Shepard Smith’s new multi-year deal with the cable channel. Despite reports that it runs through 2013, I hear that it actually kicks in next year when his current pact expires and runs through 2014. And Smith is getting a salary bump over the $7 million – $8 million a year his current contract stipulates. He is already being put to extra work to earn the big new check: Smith will be hosting an Election night special on sister broadcast network Fox next Tuesday when he also will be interviewing Sarah Palin.

Good for him!!!I love him and Fox News. They are “fair and balanced” as they say, not like those liberal lefties that are ruining the country. We should all prey for Carly Fiorina and wish her well.

I have a little dog at home who reacts the same way: any noise, no matter how slight, requires an insane episode of useless noise till the “threat” goes away. I can only imaging some big wig republican strategists smiling at your comment of regurgitated buzz words while an image of PT Barnum flashes before his eyes. Just sit proudly tonight while you’re shaking your fist at your TV in your empty dwelling knowing you showed those “lefties”.
Fox could save millions of dollars by replacing anchors like Shepard Smith and Glenn Beck with cartoon characters. I doubt their lowbrow audience would notice the difference.
There is a very simple solution if you don’t like Fox News..don’t watch. See how uncomplicated that is?
While it may not be completely “fair and balanced”, I’ve noticed it’s the only cable news show that regularly features both sides of an opinion. CNN is so one-sided, it’s almost embarrassing to watch these days. And actually, a lot of the right-wingers hate Shep Smith because he doesn’t always toe the party line.

I love to listen to Shepard on XM radio but I was at a hotel the other day and noticed he has lost a lot of weight. Hope he is okay.
