Al Pacino, Eva Green and Susan Sarandon are attached to star in Arbitrage, a drama written and to be directed by Nicholas Jarecki in New York early next year. Pacino is aboard to play a hedge-fund magnate who struggles to complete the sale of his trading business to a big bank before the level of fraud is exposed. Aside from a shady business, the hedge fund guy juggles a wife (Sarandon) and an art dealer mistress (Green), as well as rivals who want to bring him down.

First!
this is a fantastic script. i am so happy this getting made. this can be Pacino’s next Oscar
Damn I wanna see this. Checked out Pacino in Merchant of Venice back in the park and he was on top– restrained though, nice. Plus Eva’s hot (check youtube Dreamers clips) and Sarandon’s always class– let’s hope they keep it real.
WOW! Al Pacino and Eva Green in that rarified New York Financial whirl world. Sounds very interesting! Sounds like a great picture for Pacino. Is he being reincarnated (Godfather) in a parallel universe?
Looks good. I saw Pacino do Merchant of Venice in the park- he was great- restrained and powerful. Eva’s hot and Sarandon is classy- let’s hope they keep it real.
This is one of the better scripts floating around town. An actual smart commercial film for adults. Really Hope they make this. al will hit it out of the park.
Powerful script! I loved this one.
Al Pacino in a role we’ve been waiting to see him play for a long time.
Congrats!
Al Pacino is 70. Eva Green is 30. They’re playing lovers. Yuck. YUCK.
I will definitely should not miss to see this great Al Pacino movie, he is one of my favorite actors and I’m sure another acting award for him too!
Actually it’s a thriller.
It’s a fantastic script. Let’s just hope Pacino will not play Pacino playing another character.
So confused. The concept sounds really intriguing but the only other movie this guy has worked on apparently sucked. If it was a hollywood crapfest I could overlook it but it was supposed to be an involved character study. That doesn’t bode well unless he had nothing to do with one or the other of these scripts.
Yeah, but who’s PAYING for it?!
I’m sick of all these announcements and then what? e.g.: Iceman a few columns up – Mickey’s been doing it for a year and now Avi (whose checks don’t often bounce) making his own version with Michael Shannon…(Nice choice by the way)
hmmmm…. Susan Sarandon. Wasn’t she just in Wall Street 2, which sounds a little like this film?
Just saying.
I wonder if this will survive the release of Margin Call.
