Disney Channel has ordered new live-action comedy series A.N.T. Farm. The series stars 12-year-old China McClain as middle-school music prodigy who gets into a gifted program, Accelerated Natural Talent, at the local high school, and, along with her fellow ANTS, must navigate the halls of high school where they’re not particularly fond of grade-skipping newbies. The pilot was written Dan Signer and directed by Bob Koherr. Production on the series will begin in early 2011.

Wizards of Waverly Place is going to be my last teen sitcom forever. I have my own series created that’s going to be 10 times better than ANT Farm: Monte Carlo, based on Selena Gomez’s upcoming movie. I’ll make Selena’s character, Grace Bennett, play the guitar in the series and have a best friend named Meg. She’s raised by Emma and Owen Bennett, who also have musical talent in the family. So ha-ha! Monte Carlo is going to be much better than ANT Farm.

The show was awful. I will not let my girls watch it again. Tired of Disney making “kid” shows that grow little girls up to fast. Lots of lying, young girls sneaking into high school parties, drinking energy drinks so their feet go numb, stuffing their bra so they look older, 12 year old boy ogling over a dumb high school blond. I could go on. Not so subtle, I was uncomfortable watching this with my girls and they will not be watching it again!!
First off, did you even read what the premise of teh show was before you watched it? They are 11 and 12 year olds in a HIGH SCHOOL program for prodigies! So there will be plenty of younger kids trying to fit in the bigger kids world. The young kid learned never drink an energy drink again. Gee – a 12 yrold boy OGLING a pretty high school girl?? Oh mercy – that’s horrendous and never happens with real 12 year old boys! The bit with the 12 year old trying to “dress up” as a high schooler was hilarious – it was so over the top she looked like Dolly Parton meets Gunsmoke. It showed she had NO idea what she was doing. She wasn’t dressed slutty. And how old are yr girls? Did they like it? You forbidding it sounds like a typical move. The shows not for you anyway.

Hmm. This seems oddly similar to a program that I was in… In Springfield MO, at Central High. The formal name for us is the ‘springfield scholars’ program,’ but most people called us middlers. Mostly It’s strange, because it brings back memories of almost being trampled by people substantially taller than me. Buahahaha. Judging by what happened to me when I went here, this is going to be hilarious.
And then of course, it was a given that all of our backpacks were more than half of our body weight as middlers. So it was easy to be knocked over, and as I said before, trampled. By big scary teenagers. It was not a fun time to be in hallways.

ant farm sounds cool but most of the time the ones that sound good are really boring because on T.v they only show the good parts
