EXCLUSIVE: Disney XD’s breakout new live-action comedy series Pair of Kings has received a second-season pickup. Writers for the multi-camera comedy adventure series will reconvene after Thanksgiving to work on scripts, with production on the second season slated to begin in Hollywood in February. The series stars Mitchel Musso and Doc Shaw as fraternal twins who must relocate from their Chicago home to the island of Kinkow after they learn they are the rightful heirs to the throne of this odd kingdom. Since its September premiere, Pair of Kings has become Disney XD’s No.1 series across all key kid and boy demos, including Kids 6-14 and Boys 6-14. It ranks second in total viewers (684,000) behind veteran animated series Phineas and Ferb. Pair of Kings was created by Dan Cross and Dave Hoge who are executive producing with Matt Wickline.

I think it’s terrible that the old character was replaced with this new kid. Everyone makes mistakes. I understand that the Disney staff is suppose to ” be role models” but seriously are you? Stop making it do hard for these kids to be kids. I am in no way shape or form saying his DUI was acceptable, but it happened. My daughter (7yrs) and I have been watching your show for some time, but for her a 7 yr old to say its not funny anymore is serious. I believe your rating will go down and this show will not last.let’s be honest some characters make certain shows and you just lost your star without him pair of kings will never be pair of kids. It’s sad because this new character I am sure is great, but you will not be able to see it because some things are not meant to change! Best of luck- aria
