Hot on the heels of his well-received debut last night as Kurt’s gay role model Blaine, the actor/singer/songwriter is in talks to become a full-fledged series regular. The promotion for Criss – who initially came on board the Fox hit as a recurring – would likely kick in at the start of the show’s already-greenlit third season. This would mark the first regular TV gig for Criss whose biggest pre-Glee TV role was an arc on ABC’s short-lived Eastwick. I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for Darren to become a series regular on Glee. Such a talented and modest actor deserves to be recognized for his spectacular acting and singing abilities. I’m so glad that Darren was able to have this opportunity of a life time! I would love to see more of Darren on Glee!
BOO!!! This sucks! Darren’s great, but Glee has enough characters all ready. How about focusing on some of the other Glee characters for a change? Mercedes and Tina barely get any lines and we still have no idea how Quinn and Puck feel about giving up Beth or if Rachel knows that her mother was the one that adopted the baby.
That’s what the second, third and more season will be for. We barely even started the second season for god sake. Give the writers a chance and some time. It’s true, the show has manny characters but I think that solely gives them more opportunities for the futur: there’s too many interesting characters for this show not to last for a long time which is what we glee fans want. Especially given that this is a character-driven tv show, more players will only make the game more interesting and suprising. Darren is a great addition and I’d love to see more of him and personaly I don’t care how but the writers have to make this happen!!!! They have to!!!!! DARREN AS A REGULAR!!!!

darren absolutely needs to be on glee more often! he’s bringing in a whole new truck load of fans for the show that all of us gleeks and starkids will love. he is one of the most talented people in the business. if you haven’t seen a very potter musical/a very potter sequel you truly haven’t seen darren at his best work. honestly, his writing abilities are good enough for the top performers. or if you haven’t seen his covers of disney songs, you need to. his creativity and soulfulness bring new light to classics that everyone loves.

I liked Glee from when it started but didn’t really consider myself a fan. Ever since I heard about Darren being on, I now consider myself a gleek. Darren Criss is that awesome.

Keeping Darren Criss on the show would definitely contribute to the already massive amount of Glee’s fans. Putting that aside, I thought Darren Criss performed excellently on last night’s episode and that his presence would enhance the quality of the show. I deeply enjoyed his version of Teenage Dream, more so than many of the other covers lately. Given the opportunity, his character could develop and become a seriously beneficial addition to the show. And I think Darren Criss is the best man for this part.

Last night when the episode ended I had just one thing on my mind, when are they going to make Darren a regular? He was all sorts of awesome! I’m so happy Kurt finaly got a gay friend. The musical has almost 3,000,000 hits on YouTube. People are responding using quotes from the musical, which is why many responses are similar. For example, there is a song in the musical which uses the phrase “totally awesome.” So people tend to discribe Darren as awesome.
Or they all sound the same because they are being written by the same 23-year-old desk monkey.

Honestly, there are too many ‘series regulars’ on Glee. Our favorites from last season are getting short-shifted in favor of the newcomers & “special guest stars”. Glee has gotten too big for it’s britches & it’s out of control. It’s so busy embracing it’s pop culture “phenomenon-ness” that they have lost the story that got so many of us hooked last year. Time to take it down a few notches and rediscover the basics. Maybe then Glee will be as good as last seasoninstead of the so-so season we are in.
