The Universal comedy is scheduled for April 1st and features James Marsden as a slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand) and then takes him in. It’s from Illumination Entertainment, the team behind Despicable Me, and while there’s no story here, at least you get to rock out to Blur.

Hot? This is a totally boring teaser. Less publicity posts and more news please.
Ka-Ching!
Illumination hit a home run with Despicable Me. They understand good storytelling and characters.
HOP looks great, and I am eager to see more films from Illumination.
In fact, I truly hope Despicable Me receives an Academy nomination along with How To Train Your Dragon, and the probable Oscar winner…Toy Story 3.
Did you watch a different trailer? Hop may turn out to be great, hell, it may turn out to be brilliant. But… why on earth would you say it looks great from this “trailer” that shows nothing more than a few seconds of a bunny playing a drum. That’s a YouTube clip, not a movie trailer.
I don’t know about this movie, but the screenwriter’s Twitter feed is hilarious. Can we get a movie adaptation of that?
Can we please retire that GODDAMN SONG.
Man, this is going to have Chipmunks level Box Office. I’m with iwannaknow.
Ka-Ching!
Poochie
Who watches bunny playing drums and says “Ka-ching?”
People who worked on the film, that’s who!
You know – this song has been used so many times, but it feels fresh here. I think this is a really cute teaser and a bit Pixar-esque. I’m intrigued.
Can’t tell what the hell this has to do with a story, but it’s damn cute!
that trailer was whack.
That’s a minute-27 I’ll never get back. Booooooring.
Wow, Chipmunks with long ears. Can we get some original character design work please.
This is totally perfunctory, but am I the only one wondering how the bunny is managing to utilize the bass drum?
A teaser trailer indeed, I would like to see more of the trailer of this movie. I can’t wait to see another film of the year. Kids will enjoy watching this cute little bunny.
They have the domain name http://IWantCandy.com – I’m a little more than astounded they are using it for this movie (which looks like it’s going to be pretty cute) since the actual candy market is worth much, much more than this movie will ever make over time.
