Warner Bros has released a kick-ass trailer for Sucker Punch, the Zack Snyder-directed film that opens next March. Based on Snyder’s visual wizardry in 300, Watchmen and now this, what kind of world will he create on his next Warner Bros job, resuscitating Superman?

Talk about CGI porn and bad acting from Scott Glenn to boot. Talk about a paycheck role. This really looks ridiculous…in a bad way. It’ll have its comic con geek fanbase for the weekend, but that’s about it. This ain’t gonna to do well at the b.o. Are you kidding me? I’m officially worried now about Superman.
Oh. My. God. This looks like an unmitigated disaster. What a mess. No one I want to see and a story– was there a story in there? Hot mess.
Did I see a close up of an EYE that then zoomed in to reveal stuff inside the eye?

Before I watched it, I thought, “This will be a great trailer and probably an awful movie,” based on Snyder’s catalog so far.

looks great! I think this film will be a game changer and show that female driven action/fantasy films are viable and will appaeal to both male and female viewers of the target audience.
Looks retarded. Maybe myself, and every single other guy I know is wrong, but we believe that having a woman in the lead role of an action movie / comic book movie instantly ruins said movie to the point of making us question whether or not it really even existed.

Looks like the typical fourteen year old boy’s masturbation fantasy cartoon/video game we’ve come to expect from these people. “Ooooooh — the same, but DIFFERENT!” just because the lead’s a girl. I can imagine the pitch: CAGED HEAT meets (name any paint-by-the-numbers big-budget SFX extravaganza released in the last decade here).
Yawn. If this is the same kind of “visual flair” / no genuine storyline we can expect from the new SUPERMAN movie, I think I’ll just wait for Nolan’s 3rd BATMAN instead. At least HE tries.

But what’s with SCOTT GLENN?? He’s usually quite good, but his lines in this trailer are some of the worst acting I have EVER seen or heard!
Agreed. Glenn usually rocks but sounds like he’s reading the lines for the first time while watching tv. Lost me at “prison full of models”.
Visuals are extremely cartoony. Too bad for all the cardboard acting.

Hot chicks that are miscast, over the top special effects. Scott Glenn isn’t believable as the Wiseman. Coming off the heels of Watchmen, this will be another disappointment from Zack Snyder. His movie instincts are similar to M. Night Shyamalan.
This is popcorn with uncooked kernels (and no butter flavor).

In to say “I’m going to see this”, before the nerd rage of ridiculous fanboys kicks in. “Blah blah blah, Snyder’s not good for Superman, blah blah, he overuses slo-mo, blah green screen blah”

I’m probably one of the few who didn’t like 300, but like WATCHMEN – thought it was a cool take on the anti-superhero.
I’m all for an arce-kicking team of hotties, however, this just looks way too CGI laden.

Started off really good then got into repetitive fantasy/CGI land.

In twenty years people are going to look back on this guy’s movies and say, “Wow. Comically bad. How did anyone like this stuff?”
I am not convinced that Zack Snyder is really that good. 300 was cool, but Watchmen and Guardians were not that good as evidenced at the box office.
Other than the visual effects, the trailer doesn’t seem to have good acting or story. It looks like another ‘seen it before’ video game movie for the youth market which may support it.
Maybe, there is a good story and interesting characters in Sucker Punch, but it’s highly doubtful.
That being said, if Clash of the Titans can be profitable…so can this.
I forgot. Box office was THE barometer for quality filmmaking. Off to see the Chipmunks movie now, then.
Visually interesting, as expected. Story looks horribly boring, though. Couldn’t get through the whole trailer. Looks like a bad B movie.
Dawn Of The Dead was great. Watchmen was great. Not sure about this one. One thing I do know, if you are going to use Zeppelin DO NOT UP CUT IT!
Superman is gonna kick so much ass no with Snyder directing and Nolan writing/producing. Imagine the fight scenes between Superman and Zod. Priceless!
