The IFC genre label IFC Midnight has acquired US rights to the Michael Greenspan-directed Wrecked, a psychological thriller which stars Adrien Brody as a man who awakens in a car wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. He can’t remember who he is or how he got there, but a report over the radio fills in some of the blanks, as it describes a violent bank robbery and names a perpetrator who happens to be sitting dead in the back seat. IFC will release it next spring. Here is a recent trailer:

Damn, I wish I hadn’t watched that trailer. I now feel like I watched the entire film. :headshake:
My thoughts exactly.
Seems to be the style du jour in thriller trailers — basically show you the entire movie, except for the final twist (see trailer “Unknown” for worst example of this).
Honestly they should just sell discounted tickets for the last ten minutes of the film.
Any fools on here remember the trailer to The Shining?
Elevator doors open and blood pours out.
End trailer.
Well – I’m not a fool, but YES. Trailer scared the life out of me. So much so, that I had to be talked into seeing the movie by my young peers – then, ran out of the theater as soon as “Redrum” was scribbled.
Best movie memory of my life.
Alien also had a stylish trailer (egg cracking) that didn’t give away anything
but then those were both great movies, whereas Wrecked will be forgotten within days of closing out of the dollar theater
So it’s BURIED, just not as confined? We know how well that movie did. Came and went, didn’t even gross a million.
I don’t want to see it based on the trailer, because I don’t care about his character. He robbed a bank – good he’s getting what he deserves. Don’t really need to see anymore.
He is also a total flake I had investors last year that were going to give him millions to star in a indie film and he never showed up to the meet, then they were told that they had to talk to his agent again, way to much drama to get to this kid,
what bs,
Dude if you’ve got millions of bucks to give someone to be in an indie film, you’re in good shape, and you can find someone besides Brody to work with. GET YOUR MOVIE MADE!!!
