Cannes: Sundance Selects Acquires Dardenne Brothers’ … EXCLUSIVE: In her first gig since the swift cancellation of the praised Fox drama Lone Star, Adrianne Palicki has signed on to guest-star in an episode of Criminal Minds that pays homage to Oliver Stone’s seminal criminal satire Natural Born Killers. Palicki 
will play Syd, a tough, irreverent and sexually manipulative lunatic who sets out on a cross country killing spree with her badass sociopath husband Ray (The Black Donnellys‘ Jonathan Tucker). Like Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis’ characters in Killers, Syd and Ray were both victims of childhood abuse. The episode is slated to air in early ’11. Michael Ausiello will be contributing to Deadline.com and Movieline.com as he preps for the January launch of a new TV-centric website.

Bring her back to Supernatural, we miss Adrianne and Sam misses Jess. Resurrect her for more than an episode to get her mans’ soul back.

If both of the brothers can be pulled out of hell — granted, Sam didn’t make it all the way out — then why can’t the writers figure out a way to pull Jess out on a “temporary pass” or something, and help Sam get his soul back?!
The Friday Night Lights series is going to turn out to be a massive launching pad for actors. And not just the kids.

I hate to admit it, but this person has never really made that much of an impact on me whatsoever and judging from her IMDb page, I guess I’ve seen a lot of her and never really connected the dots. Glad people like her, though. I guess the can-she-do-a-movie-of-it-all would be decided by “Red Dawn” if it ever comes out as she has the big female role, right?

Completely agree… This story is not note worthy or interesting… Does anyone think CBS will be promoting this episode heavily on the basis of her guesting… What would they say? “Tune in for special Guest Star Adrianne Palicki – you know, one third of the love triangle from that failed Fox show LONESTAR… It got good reviews… but ultimately, it was too outside the box for Fox viewers… Anyway she’s on our show this week – check it out!”

COMPLETELY concur about her being a fantastic Wonder Woman. She’s the right age range, can act, has the right look (a bit Amazonian), and she’s a big comic book fan.
And the FNL casting people should have a shelf full of awards. Like everyone else involved with that show.

There was a time when guest stars ( with a few exceptions ) on certain TV shows weren’t that big of a deal , even if they were veterans like Rose Marie , Steve Lawerence , or Barbara Babcock . Nowadays , since television became ” appointment TV ” in the nineties
( continue ) it is now a big deal to see someone from a much loved , critically acclaimed TV show appear on another series, hit or not , especially if that actor is well respected by the public .
She is a superstar and on “Criminal Minds” she will rock. Can’t wait to see her play a badass.
I don’t know who this chick is. Anyway, I love Natural Born Killers. The most underrated movie of the last 30 years. Are they going to do crazy smash cuts, saturated colors, peyote dreams like the movie? Please!!
I’m not a huge fan of Criminal Minds but it is one of the better procedural type shows on TV. Adrianne and Jonathan are both talented actors and I think they could pull this off. Lone Star could have been one of the best new TV shows but FOX didn’t allow it to build an audience. Adrianne has flourished due in large part to Connie Britton being her mentor. The guest spot on Criminal Minds might boost Adrianne to land on another TV show. I think her and her former FNL co stars need to go the cable route. NBC has never really appreciated the talent on FNL.
Adrianne Palicki has charisma + subtlety – delivered exactly what her “mom” on FNL said in her last episode “you always surprise me…” great scene. writers? thx!

anyone who watched Friday Night Lights knows Adrianne Palicki is going to be a huge star. Period
I also think the lead from Lone Star was very pleasant and seemed like a cool guy. Adrianne is hot, great actress and will probably be a fun role but this should be her last stop on the procedural tour. As much as Minka Kelly is one of the most beautiful living creatures on the planet, Adrianne and Taylor Kitsch were the most interesting characters on FNL. Just don’t have her go playing a prosti or rape vic on SVU.
Speaking of which… despite her US Weekly flap, I think there’s still hope for OC-refugee Mischa Barton. Like Bush says about his presidency, I think history will eventually look back on her performance as angsty Marissa Cooper with respect. Just really nailed “no one understands me hot girl gone bad”, second in the teen canon only to Brenda Walsh. Like a phoenix, Barton will rise again.
