EXCLUSIVE: Relativity Media has made a preemptive deal for Timeless, a spec script by Enchanted scribe Bill Kelly which Phillip Noyce is negotiating to direct. The premise involves time travel. A recently wed man loses his wife and discovers after the fact she has left him a fortune. Haunted by an unresolved issue between himself and his wife, the man invests the money to build a time travel device, just to see her one last time. Sunil Perkash will produce. Perkash produced the Noyce-directed Salt as well as Enchanted. After Kelly told Perkash the beats of the film, Perkash pitched them to Noyce and then Relativity Media’s Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley took the project off the table. WME brokered the deal for Kelly and UTA reps Noyce.

What a motley crew. By the way, Salt sucked.
Agreed… But then again, any actioner starring a female killing hundreds of guys never can sustain itself in the face of dis-believeability…
Maybe not hundreds, but keep living in your dream world of sexism and made up vocabulary.
I’m sorry, something is wrong here: This actually sounds original and good.
I LOVED Enchanted & Salt, can’t wait for this movie!
Kelly is a genius, pure & simple. This is going to be his best fim yet!
Like most sci-fi efforts right now, this sounds like an episode of Fringe that aired last year. A tremendous episode.
I loved Salt but I hope Sony ditches Noyce and Wimmer and gets a new team for the sequel — the same way Greengrass took over from Liman and made Bourne better. Noyce can Time Travel or whatever — I feel Salt was good in spite of and not because of him.
sounds like a nice idea. wish i thought of it.
Wow. Time travel? What will they think of next?!
LOVE BILL KELLY!!!!!!
Doesn’t surprise me. It is listed that “Somewhere in Time” is Kavanaugh’s favorite movie of all time, and it seems like this film it will have that same feel.
So..both this and Zemeckis’ time travel movie have the same name?
This sounds very similar to the most recent film adaptation of H.G. Wells’ TIME MACHINE. Guy Pearce loses his girlfriend on the evening he proposes to her, then spends years trying to come up with a time travel device so he can go back and stop her murder. Hijinks ensue.
This is an episode of FRINGE called “White Tulip”
Good episode by the way
Would the writers of Fringe please stop plugging their crap-fest series in this thread… that’s what TWOP is for.
I like pyramids.
On the possibility of time travel, it was quoted “…I have no idea whether it’s possible, but it’s certainly worth exploring.” CARL SAGAN, NOVA interview, Oct. 12, 1999
If there is one guy out there who gets it – it’s Bill Kelly.
LOVE BILL KELLY MOVIES!!!!
LOVE BILL KELLY!!!
I LOVE BILL KELLY TOO! HIS MOVIES ARE GREAT! CONGRATS BILL.
Yes if you’re doing a “star crossed lover separated by death time travel story” it will have to be AMAZING to top the GREAT “Fringe” time travel episode from last year (guest starring Robocop himself Peter Weller). Certainly better than this “Somewhere in Time” redux sounds like on paper.l
