UPDATES Film Director Nancy Meyers Leaves ICM
The writer and director of It’s Complicated, Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday, What Women Want, Baby Boom left ICM earlier this week after being repped by Jeff Berg spanning decades.
Editor-in-Chief Nikki Finke - tip her here.

Have FUN WME. She is a nightmare.
Why is Meyers so difficult and notorious? Her films are nice, funny, and very Nora Ephron-like.
In even better news, Nancy Meyers was the butt of a joke on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia last night.
…true but it is Never Sunny At ICM. Have they turned the lights out on the entire film division yet?
I am curious. If she is such a “nightmare”, how come Diane Keaton has worked with her so many times??
She has a remarkable gift for turning a script for a $30 million movie into a $100 million “film.” Pretentious, arrogant and difficult.
Congratulations to all she is a great talent!! I loved working with her and look forward to see what’s next.
Who cares about all of these agency comings-and-goings… these stories are just ego boosters that really have no relevance. Who gives a **** whether she’s represented by a pompous dbag at CAA vs a pompous dbag at WME?
Why post such comings and goings in the industry? Well, for starters:
Because this is – in theory – an INDUSTRY website, not E! or USA Today. A website that has essentially obsoleted the trades in terms of relevance, interactivity, speed, and sheer volume of readership – both in and outside the business.
The fact that Deadline crosses over somewhat to the general reader notwithstanding, this site’s raison d’etre is catering to those in and interested in the business, so this story – as much of a yawner as it may be – fits the mandate.
WME is on a tear this week.
Anyone who actually knows or has worked with Nancy knows she is a consummate professional and a rare talent. She is a passionate filmmaker and loyal collaborator who has worked with the same people for years. All of these other comments are urband legend and heresey.
Nancy is brilliant at what she does. She brings a lot of laughter to the audience, and dollars to the box office every SINGLE time. Very few have a record like hers. I know her closest collaborators have nothing but the utmost respect for her. Her meticulous nature and attention TO detail end up making the actors (and everyone involved in the film) LOOK AMAZING. Her fortunate closeknit crew, eagerly anticipate every new project she does. A sad loss for ICM, but congrats to WME.
love love love her movies. When is the next one coming?
