Wow, that was original. If it was 1978. FOX: you have lost it. And this proves it.
Hope that didn’t cost a lot.
apparently Cowell wants his favorite judge Cheryl Cole to come to the US with him. too bad no one in the States knows who she is.
but all of the press releases have said that Mariah Carey and Nicole Scherzinger (of the Pussycat Dolls) will be the female judges. why is Simon so persistent?
This would have been an exciting move for Cowell 3 years ago.
US audiences are turned off by the vote manipulations, auto tuning, and the serious filtering out of musical talent by these shows in order to get a winner producers hope could be a media package (e.g. Ruben Studdard & Fantasia Barrino).
If Cowell does a true import of the British version, many US people will need subtitles and narration. US audiences have been too dumbed down to understand British wit.
Its time for a show that recognizes and develops real talent, not the image-obsessed, bubblegum that comes through Idol and X-Factor. Or if they do find talent, not just throw it under a bus 6 months after the show. X-factor is Idol without an age limit…..so innovative.
Santa, I have seen a lot of British TV and your kidding right? Same dump stuff we get here.
