WME capped a strong week of signings by landing Dianna Agron, the Glee star who was among the small list of actresses considered to play Peter Parker’s love interest in Spider-Man. Agron, who was repped by Gersh, stars with Alex Pettyfer in the DJ Caruso-directed I Am Number Four, the DreamWorks pic which Disney will release February 18. WME has recently signed Christopher Columbus, Nancy Meyers and Charlie Kaufman.

Sometimes the reps are crappy/don’t respect you/etc., but you have no other options. Looks like she found her options.
I love how blameless agents and managers like to act. Yes, sometimes the actor is at fault, but you’ve got to consider the reps’ hand in it, too. Everyone’s human. I bet if Dianna had never booked, she’d have been dropped a long time ago. Loyalty, puh!
But in a situation of a girl on a number one hit show (GLEE) and a huge movie for Dreamworks (I AM NUMBER FOUR),which obviously her reps were doing an amazing job, as she’s the only person from the show who worked on a big studio movie during her hiatus and had a movie at Sundance (THE ROMANTICS). It’s hard to think that her reps were crappy or didn’t respect her.
So to me, looking at the situation, it’s a classic actor move of I’m on top of the world, who can do something better for me. With no regard for all the hard work that was put in to get her to that point. That DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD even cares about this person.
Agreed. Without the reps she just dropped, Dianna would be just another pretty face with mediocre acting chops.
I call bs on credit the agent. Glee is a fluke for her. She was hired at the last minute for the pilot because Brad wanted a bitchy cheerleader. You don’t hire a major character 2 days before principal photography begins. And what did she have before Glee. 2 episodes of Heroes and random b films. Had she not got the glee gig she wouldn’t have been picked for ‘I am number four’. She would be a virtual unknown. So I think she is smart to drop her agent and manager.
Is writing included in the deal? Read that she sold a script before being signed to Glee – what’s the status on that?

Wow, almost forgot, this is Hollywood, the land of no loyalty. I heard her crazy ass pathological boyfriend, Alex Pettyfer, instructed her to clean house and had her fire her agent, manager, and lawyer, and signed with his team of reps. Good luck to both of them!

Why? Doesn’t honor agreements. Makes up stories = LIES. Does not accept his own failures and responsibilities. Talks shit about EVERYONE he works with behind their backs. Fired two sets of reps already [rent-a-client anyone?] and hasn’t had a major film come out yet. Thinks he’s above reshoots – refuses to do them. Double deals. Ask anyone who he has come into contact with him [like Teresa Palmer's B]! The guy is a sociopath.
I’ve observed that how a man talks about his exes is a good measure of his character. Alex Pettyfer had nothing but kind and gracious remarks to say when asked about his former girlfriend, Emma Roberts.

Alex is a young, misguided boy ~ he has strong opinions and a big ego but I don’t think he could convince someone to fire both there manager and agents unless they weren’t doing there jobs.

I doubt it was all Alex, Lea Michele is signed up with WME too and one of Dianna’s closest friends out of the Glee cast. Pretty sure she had a few people influencing her decision to move over to WME

Umm if anything Lea was probably a factor in Dianna deciding to switch to WME. Those two girls are super tight and Lea is known to keep those close to her super close to her, John Groff is signed with WME too. I’d say having her boyfriend and one of her closest friends in the business signed to WME is why Dianna signed up

I love watching the knives come out for any rising star who changes agencies — people these agencies are populated by bottom-line driven adults who make it their business to backstab and drop their low-earning “loyal” clients…
Gersh still cashed quite a few checks from her work on “Glee,” and we’ll see how long WME keeps her as a top priority after her first mis-steps and misfires…
I think loyalty is a good thing, especially if the people who repoed you really bashed down some doors for you. But I think once someone really pops they want the sizzle and clout of the Big Two. True, they may find themselves at the bottom of a lot of lists, but if they thought that way they would never take their shot at being actors in the first place.
Not to be a dick or anything, but while she is the easily the prettiest of the Glee girls (although Leah Michelle is getting close now that she’s lost all that weight), she’s also clearly just a “pretty face,” which is why she has so few solo numbers on the show and why her dance choreography is so simple compared to the others.
And if that’s the case, there are lots of pretty faces in Hollywood. She’s no Jessica Alba…she’s not half the actress that Aimee Teegarden or Adrianne Palicki from ‘Friday Night Lights’ are…for that matter, she’s definitely no Serena Van Der Woodsen in the looks department.
I pity you. Thank God you are not a scout. If you were you would miss out on talent because you are too busy thinking pretty girls are getting by just cos they are pretty. Check your hatorade at the door baby. She is pretty and can act. Show business. It’s called the full package. She is not a singer but can carry a tune. She is an actress. Keep watching this space.

Uh, what? “Dance choreography is so simple…”? Firstly, she injured her knee filming the first episode (the cheerleading), then she was playing a pregnant girl, who I am incredibly glad was not dancing like the others.
Secondly, if you watch her tiny bits of dancing, it’s obvious that she’s a classically trained dancer, because of the grace and flow of her movements.
Thirdly, she taught dance in high school… she has to know something…
And that’s just the dance bits. Her voice is really all that meant for show choir, it’s more indy-rock stylings, or breathy jazz. Glee doesn’t sing that kind of music, so it wouldn’t fit all that well.
Just saying.
Does anyone really know if she ‘got rid’ of her first manager? Because maybe she hasn’t, actors get two agents all the time. So how about we chill and be happy about her new oportunity? WME is BIG, she’s playing in the big league now, let’s wish her the best in her career. I cannot think anything bad about Dianna, disloyalty is not something I’d ever associate with her.
What is firing everyone who helped you get to where you are, if not disloyal? I’m just saying!
Someone needs to do a remake of “Star 80″, Pettyfer and Agron would be perfect!!

If you ever had to deal with her manager, you would commend her for her decision. How much integrity would you suggest she sacrifice in order to advance her career?
I dunno,…maybe this considerate, talented, young actress followed her heart, deciding that changing representation was in the best interest of her career/future?
She also has a small part in Burlesque, which comes out this month.
Good for her, considering recent news she has the most potential to breakout of all the Glee stars.

I can attest that it is not just one person in town who knows of Alex’s bad character and are obviously posting here, but several.
