As you know, Hollywood news really slows down during the holidays. So we’ll be alternating down time during the next two weeks. I’ll be on vacation tonight until Christmas (but still doing box office). Then Nellie will take her vacation the following week through New Year’s. Mike will catch a few days off here and there since he took his vacation the week of Thanksgiving. Pete will be working throughout this busy awards season. And Tim will keep monitoring the international scene. If you’ve got news for Deadline, please make sure all of us are on your emails during this holiday period. Happy Holidays!

You guys certainly deserve the time off! Thanks for all your hard work in 2010. Go get tan on a tropical beach somewhere (not Malibu).
Happy Holidays Team Deadline (and thank God, Nikki for still doing the Box Office, especially this weekend, this Friday will be one of the most exciting ones all year with a tentpole, two widely released awards magnets and two potential, high-profile flops (I’m just not feeling How do you know and Yogi Bear BUT I can see The Fighter and Black Swan exceed expectations). (Sorry for my English)
Why do they need a vacation? Is sitting at a computer making phone calls that hard? They should never go on vacation there’s always big news to report from Hollywood. This site should be automated with news-bots that can scan all the news everywhere night and day and automatically post new articles every hour on the hour with TOLDJA! followed by whatever the headline is from Associated Press or Reuters. All that’s required is a software program readily available. A large network of zombie computers will scour the globe looking for red hot news. Nikki please do this before you leave town. Thank you for your tireless work but it’s time to take this site into the new age of computers. They can do everything you do much faster and with less snark.
Happy Holidays to Nikki and the Deadline crew. You guys (and gals!) have had an incredible year. More continued success to you all in 2011.
All best,
– bobby the saint
