The CW today became the latest network to release its midseason schedule. With only one hole to fill, that of departing sophomore Life Unexpected which did not receive a back order, and one midseason series on deck, reality competition Shedding for the Wedding, the network is moving freshman drama Hellcats to LUX‘s Tuesday 9 PM slot behind One Tree Hill to form an all-reality Wednesday lineup with America’s Next Top Model and Shedding for the Wedding. The rest of the schedule will remain intact. The majority of the CW’s primetime schedule will return with originals the week of January 24, with the season (and probably series) finale of LUX slated to air in back to back episodes on Jan. 18. Following are the CW’s midseason premiere dates:
Tuesday, January 18
8:00-10:00 p.m. Life Unexpected (Season Finale)

Good to see Nikita coming back. Maggie Q is some serious kick-ass eye candy. Add in a really great re-interpretation of this franchise, and this is a really terrific show.
Seems smart going all reality on Wed. Consistent. Makes less room on the schedule for dramas. with only 8 slots the bar will have to be raised ratings wise. I see Gossip Girl ending at Season 6.
So upset that they are probably cancelling my favorite show LIFE UNEXPECTED. GREAT WRITING..OUTSTANDING CAST. ..one tree hill is on life support but they wont renew LUX????? Think its a HUGE mistake!!!
One Tree Hill is getting better ratings then Life Unexpected
They brought back that damn asian tranny, what the hell for.
Is it just me, or is this a stronger overall line-up than any other major network on TV right now?
It’s just you…
Your favorite show is Hellcats? Or is it Vampire Diaries? Right; those two shows were nominated for Golden Globes, right up there with Boardwalk Empire and The Pacific. You my friend have excellent taste; everbody, and I mean everybody just loves the CW.
Happy for Hellcats. I really like that show. It’s funny.
Hellcats is crap here is to The CW canceling that show like they did Life Unexpected.
I love One Tree Hill! You should give it a chance! It is a tad hard to follow since it’s been on for 8 seasons. But it’s a really good show!
