After 20th TV chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman’s uproarious Modern Family-flavored holiday video card last year written and directed by Steve Levitan, it was natural for the duo to turn to the studio’s other monster hit, Fox’s Glee, for greeting card inspiration next. Here is this year’s video, written by Glee co-creator/executive producer Ian Brennan, who writes Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) dialogue on the show, and directed by Glee co-creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy.

This isn’t remotely funny… Dana Walden is still hot though
re:Dana Walden… smokin’! is more appropriate
Gosh this pains me to say this – Dana does keep looking better and better. I give them props, it was funny.
Disagree. This was the opposite of funny. So calculated/scripted/poorly acted it hurt. And Dana has to stop with the plastic surgery no matter how much she wants to stay young. Gary is a creative mental midget who just wants to make wine and eat.
zero funny jokes. tired scene
Good for them… so many bigwigs have no sense of humor about themselves. And Jane Lynch is HILARIOUS.
Finally – a company Christmas card that doesn’t make my eyes bleed. This is hilarious! Love the sense of humor!
Say what you want about them as suits, but this made me laugh. And Dana is crazy hot.
seriously, this is not funny at all. just picking a random idea doesn’t make a statement funny – it requires social commentary and something that resonates on a common level. This sounds more like the plant wrote this skit. a weed. you should smoke that plant before writing another episode of GLEE.
THANKS
Dana Walden is a FOX. Get it? Eh? EH?
As Jane notices during her improvised rant at the end of this pathetic thing…
“This is all crap,” Glee is shinny crap. NO plot, no character conviction, and no stakes.
I bet she wants to throw stuff everyday on set when she gets the script. Although, her lines are the best by far – which leads me to believe she improvises – love you JANE!!!!!!!
Brilliant! They’ve done it again! Next year: Dana biking with the SONS OF ANARCHY!
Gotta admit that’s pretty funny that the next year’s card was with SOA….wonder if this gave them inspiration? ha.
Love Matthew Morrison
Love Dana Walden. FOX is great to work for. And so is Dana. And she is a FOX.
lol . that was the funniest vid. love how Jane can act like Sue would if sue was doing the thing at the drop of a hat. and how both Donna and Gary are just smiling the whole time even up to her rant at the end.
I agree it’s nice for the suits to have a sense of humor and JANE is always BRILLIANT !!!! What’s to hate about this? It’s fresh and fun. Lighten up !
Dana Walden is always smokin’ hot.
Time for Jane to reunite with Christopher Guest and the gang for a Sue Sylvester bio-pic. Consider it my holiday gift to Fox.
Last year’s vid card was cute, if not quite funny. Like a typical Modern Family episode.
This is just an irredeemable mess. Like a typical episode of Glee.
Jane Lynch’s mugging is played out.
Ian Brennen writers all of that character’s dialogue? Really? No one else? Okay… but I wouldn’t brag about it. She’s a one note bore.
This pair’s approach to their yearly Christmas card is the exact same approach they take to TV development: cynical, negative, aloof, and assigning talent to slave labor for as cheap as possible (in this case for free) so they can take credit at the end for being “creative.” Having had the awful experience of developing a show with these warlocks, I watch this video and have chilling flashbacks. And I read the comments, all written by Fox employees on Dana and Gary’s orders, and just feel sad. Dance, monkeys, dance.
They passed on your pilot, get over it.
Not funny at ALL. actually really excruciating to watch. it was Jane doing “Sue”. wow. I’m shocked how bad it was.
Everything that was right about the Benderspink Holiday Card is wrong about this one. It’s not about 2 people, it’s about a group of people who had the vision and put in the time to make these shows work. I’m sure the employees at 20th weren’t as over the moon about this card as one might think.
C’mon, guys, this was pretty funny… and I usually don’t like those corporate holiday greeting messages.
And Dana… damn!
I’m not in the industry and I find this really funny. And I’m not even an avid watcher of Glee. I had not seen the greetings from last year until a few minutes ago and find it also very funny. For all of the negative comments here get a life..
Happy Holidaze everyone.
Painfully unfunny and obnoxious. That was really bad. For them to think it’s funny is a classic example of the Emperor’s New Clothes. Ryan Murphy should have been smart enough to tell them it was awful he should have had Gary and Dana singing a Christmas carol with the Glee cast. This was just horrible. Terrible. And so annoying.
How again did Dana get this job? Oh yea, she’s smokin’ hot. And Gary looks pretty good himself. Neither of them look like the people that work for them. Tired, exhausted and in need of a little credit. Sure doesn’t look like either of these “creative” executives are burning the midnight oil. It’s nice to have a checkbook behind you to sign people like Levitan and Lloyd who make anybodies jos a whole lot easier. Certainly gives Dana more time to get to the gym and salon while doing a lot of on-line shopping in between phone calls at the office. Did you guys think she was giving notes while gazing at her computer all day long?
Can someone explain to me when television executives decided they needed to thank “their” audiences for watching “their” shows. I thought the shows were the studios and producers and they work for the greater good of the company instead of feeling like it is necessary to be “stars” themselves.
I will give you this,,,Dana is a good looking middle age woman.
Wow, yes, she probably does not do any real work but she is gorgeous, plastic surgery or not! Someone commented she is pleasant to work with as well—yum!
This didn’t even bring a smile to me. And yes, I’m in a good mood.
