IFC’s genre label IFC Midnight has acquired U.S. rights to the Jon Hewitt-directed genre thriller X, described as “love, chance, escape and the oldest profession in the world, as experienced by two beautiful women on one ugly night that will change their lives forever.” IFC prexy Jonathan Sehring said the film “ups the ante on an already impressive list of elevated thrillers form new wave Australian auteurs.”

Too bad that when it airs on the channel, it will have commercial breaks.
IFC is no longer a channel worth watching.
Or if they do air it commercial free, they still include the the fade ins/outs for the commercial breaks. Pretty terrible.
I don’t believe IFC has commercial breaks in the middle of the feature films they run. Besides, IFC Midnight is a VOD/DVD focused product line.
Please pay attention and be positive.
Uhh, isn’t IFC Midnight a theatrical series that includes same day as theater on-demand?
Yes, IFC *is* indeed airing commercials during films now, as of December 8th. The films remain unedited – for now.
Make that at least December 6th. That’s when I tuned into “Letters From Iwo Jima” and was “rewarded” with ad after ad after ad. That was the last time I watched IFC. Trying to watch an “independent” film channel and instead walking away with an endless loop of “freecreditreport.com” playing through my brain is not an acceptable lifestyle choice for me.
I was watching “Letters From Iwo Jima” and had to turn it off due to the number of commercials. I will just get it from Netflix. IFC go fuck yourself, I took you channel out of my DishTV directory and will no longer watch your channel.
