Some of the more successful sellers this year, ie. 3 Arts, Benderspink, H2F, etc, aren’t on here. Are those guys mostly selling pitches & other IP?
No. Circle is on top of this list almost every year, yet you never see the scripts produced.
If I were a writer I wouldn’t know who I’d go with, looking at this list.
feels like a post to mention some more companies, but since im repped at one of the three, i think the better spin might be hopefully, theyre helping get their clients movies made instead of landing on the big dick list. I’d tell you big dicks dont put food on the table, but if your willing to eat a dick, you’ll probably be ok in this town.
Also, Dexter sucked last night.
What happened Fuse?
Ouch.
@ indieproducer – apparently those guys were too busy selling stuff and didn’t have time to beg for votes
So… we’re supposed to think Circle of Confusion is the best management in town?
Can somebody make a Got Made Count? Now that would be interesting… and relevant. Most of these scripts are going to disappear, whether good or not.
Anonymous Content seems to be the most consistent, always near the top.
How about a “Scripts getting made list”?
oh my dear yoshi.
there is no such thing as a “scripts getting made list”… as projects get greenlit every day and move forward and get rewritten and cast and have a director attached and start pre pro….
AND THEY NEVER GET MADE.
you want a “scripts getting made list”? check out your local newspaper and see what’s playin at your theater. there ya go. those are the scripts that got made. you can also check out the “dvd” scene, as many go straight there, so look at “New this week” at itunes and netflix.
I don’t know why it’s called the Blacklist either, but the term “blacklist” did not originate from the Hollywood Blacklist.
Glad to see Aperture on there. Great new management company formed by the one and only Adam Goldworm, formerly at Industry.
Goldworm is great–a no-BS dude who generally gives good notes and fights hard for his clients.
excuse me, but what is the black list? Thanks.
@peter, @writer, check the facts, Circle of Confusion not only top the list for getting great scripts out but their spec sell rate is one of the best in the business. plus they make the walking dead. what else you want?
Frank Darabont makes The Walking Dead. Circle piggybacked onto a comic book client…
what does “black list” mean?
i really don’t understand who gives a shit about this list. it really is pointless. my manager at epidemic sells my scripts and has gotten some of my movies and tv shows made, period. his company is never on this list and i have bought houses with his performance for me as a writer. good luck to all you guys who are writers whose managers get to brag about being on this list…
apparently you care about it.
maybe i’m crazy, but isn’t the idea of the “business” to make movies and money. hence if you have movies on this list as manager/agent doesn’t that mean you suck at your job because you have the best produt and can’t turn it into cash?
