“The Borgias” worst title since “Terriers”.
I actually lol’d
It would only be considered a worst title if Americans were as ignorant of European history as unfortunately, it seems we may be, judging from your comments.
Looks good. And this is different from the “Tudors” how?
Does anybody else think this was only picked up due to the spotlight cast on the Borgia family by Assassin’s Creed 2 and Brotherhood? I mean, that’s the only reason this might interest me at all.
Is that brother /sister incest or bad casting?
Incest you brainless putz! And now get back to books!
Good thing they can re-use all the sets from the “Tudors.”
i didnt know italians had english accents back then. weird.
Neil Jordan’s script was one of the best unproduced screenplays floating around town for over a decade – and very historically accurate about the most intriguing pope in history. Glad that he is finally bringing it to screen, even though the current casting appears to grossly pale versus his original vision with Anthony Hopkins and Colin Farrell in the leads. Hope Showtime has done it justice, although this trailer seems somewhat lackluster.
Since The Tudors was filmed in Ireland and The Borgias was filmed in Hungary, I’d say there’s not much chance that any sets from the former were re-used in the latter.
And about somebody asking what’s the difference between The Tudors and The Borgias — wow, to think how much time I have spent on British forums arguing that it is UNTRUE that Americans are pig ignorant about history or the world outside American borders. I clearly owe some Brits an apology.
