Here’s a first. While studios choose different venues to launch movie trailers online, Universal’s teaser trailer for Fast Five will make its debut on the Facebook page of the film’s star, Vin Diesel. Diesel has developed a following of about 20 million fans, putting him in the top five celebrities who have sites. After Diesel posts the teaser on http://www.facebook.com/VinDiesel, other cast members who have active social media platforms–including Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson–will post their teaser on their sites. I will probably pull it off Youtube. It will be up within the hour.

This is possibly hollywood’s most needy and neurotic, disillusioned credit grabbing star.
For the literal HELL Vin puts everyone through, you have to give him credit for helping to sell his movies.
His vanity in this case is an asset.
These movies keep getting worse and worse. I was hoping Vin Diesel had gone away for good, but I guess not. Also wondering why Dwayne Johnson, who seems like a much more talented likable version of Vin Diesel would put himself into this franchise. Anyone?

Vin’s history with New Line/Toby/Richard Brenner (specifically) are fairly well known. The two people Brenner has semi publicly said he’d never work with again are Ben Younger and Vin, that stemming initially from Boiler Room, but after knockaround guys and a man apart it became disasterous. Of course Vin became a star in between from FF and Pitch black, abnd the NL films dissapointed. Specifics…ask around
Writer to writer, he’s unreasonable, ego maniacle, and dishonest and will leave you out to dry, even though during the process as always youre buddy buddy. now this doesnt make him much worse than the next guy, except hes just not very smart about it…hes had a 10-15 million dollar a movie career twice and blown it both times…Now hes only doing sequals and franchises, and hell fuck it all up again. Universal does not like him, but they tolerate it for the FF franchise (which Vin has tried to fuck up and strongarm them with wheelman at paramount) new line wont work with him, but that doesnt mean muvh these days…He’s so castable, yet he continues to make enemies…Too bad. If he didnt think he knew what he was doing, he could be great. And come out too Vin, we all know you like it all.

The last one was fun and this one looks just as good. Justin Lin has done a solid job with this franchise. Lighten up people. This is “cheeseburger for the brain” at its best.
