UPDATED: After a daylong hospital visit that allegedly followed days of heavy partying involving drugs, Charlie Sheen has checked into a rehab. His hit CBS comedy series, Two and a Half Men, has been put on a production hiatus. “Charlie Sheen has voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today,” Sheen’s publicist Stan Rosenfield said in a statement. “He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern.” This is a sharp reversal from the statement issued by Rosenfield this morning, which stated that the Two and a Half Men star will return to work on Tuesday as scheduled.
The series producer Warner Bros. TV and CBS have long tried to convince Sheen to seek professional help for his addiction, offering to shut down production in order to accommodate that. Despite the actor’s repeated refusals to do so, the studio and the network reportedly ramped up their efforts in light of Sheen’s most recent shenanigans that sent him to the ER.
Word is that they may have gotten help from Sheen’s father, Martin Sheen, who visited his son in the hospital yesterday and, deeply concerned, reportedly urged him to go to rehab. Since WBTV and CBS’ all previous attempts to talk the actor into going to rehab had fallen on deaf ears, that could’ve been the deciding factor. Legally, the studio cannot shut down production on the show without cause, i.e. without Sheen voluntarily checking into rehab. (Sheen had threatened litigation if they did so.) That has now finally happened. “Due to Charlie Sheen’s decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing Two and a Half Men on production hiatus,” the three parties said in a statement. “We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision.”
It is not clear yet how long the hiatus will be and how that will affect Two and a Half Men‘s 24-episode season order. So far, the show has shot 16 episodes, 14 of them have aired. Men also went on hiatus last season (From Feb. 23-March 15, 2010) to accommodate Sheen’s stint in rehab following his arrest in Colorado on domestic violence charges. The show was able to make up most of the lost time and ended up delivering a full-season 22 episodes, only 2 short of Men’s regularly supersized order of 24 episodes a season.
Sheen is in the first season of a rich two-year deal for the show, which he signed in May after months of negotiations. The show, which makes tons of money for WBTV in syndication, also has been renewed through next season. While Sheen has been very professional on set, fulfilling his duties on the show, his personal life had been rapidly spinning out of control in the past few months with erratic behavior and bizarre accounts of binges involving drugs and porn stars.

He finally learn that he isn’t invincible and that his reckless behavior can kill him? He won’t change – this guy don’t give a fu$k.
Wow, we have become a nation of pansies! When did living life to its fullest become wrong and require rehab? Dude was having the time of his life with a suitcase full of blow and a house full of porno starlets. If you were as rich as Charlie, you’d do the same.
Charlie is a douchebag and irresponsible a-hole. If all of America lived like this coke-whore, we’d all be speaking Chinese right now. This guy is a prime example as to why the country hates Hollywood and all of the pampered freaks that inhabit it. It’s the truth.
Amen Larry!
He is my hero. And I love moo shoo pork. Win win.
You and Charlie need to put away the ruby slippers. This ain’t the 70′s and every one with a thinking brain and seeing eyes know we ain’t in Kansas anymore. Charlie is a joke and that half of America is laughing with him and not at him says some worrisome things about where America is and where it is going.
Relax, Neil.
America’s been on the verge of collapse since 1776. It’s what we do.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I hafta go take a thunder-dump.
Totally relaxed. I live in Canada. By the way the U.S. hasn’t been on the verge of collapse since awhile now but that doesn’t mean America hasn’t become as big a joke as Charlie Sheen is. America celebrates its ignorance and that is what many in the rest of the world find astounding and hilarious.
Charlie Sheen is a classic example of why people hate Hollywood. Can you imagine a machinist at a plant in Pennsylvania shutting down production of that plant time after time, yet still keep his job? In this town, the ones at the top are allowed to play by their own rules. Even if they jeopardize the livelihoods of the ones who do play by the rules — Production, other cast members, and crew. CBS should be truly ashamed of themselves for not cutting this guy loose long ago. But, as Nina Tassler said recently, “We see no problem.” Yep. And that’s the problem exactly.
If that machinist was so talented that what he produced was the reason people frequented his machine shop, then yes, I CAN imagine it…
It’s a shame everyone involved in the show is at the mercy of this one guy’s addictions. BUT:
Most shows get cancelled after one season, if they last that long. Yet the cast and crew of Two And A Half Men have managed to get almost eighth years of steady paychecks out of this junkie. So it’s hard to imagine them having too many hard feelings. Lots of people there have made a decent living off this guy.
Exactly. I’ll add that after the numerous threads on this topic that have appeared containing posts warning crewmembers about working with Charlie Sheen, only the crew is to blame for their own predicament.
If they actually want something solid:
A) Don’t work in Hollywood unless you are related to a studio head, and
B) If you do find work in Hollywood, do not work on ANYTHING long-term with Charlie Sheen.
Duh.
“Only the crew is to blame”? Dude, you have no clue as to how things work in this town. You think crews get to CHOOSE what shows they work on, or what stars to work with? They go where the work is. And unfortunately their work is with an overpaid untalented douche bag whose main priority is starting his own porn family, instead of taking care of the people who keep his crap show running on a daily basis.
he has to want to change for him … he is lucky to still be alive
The Playboy Mansion? come on now Charlie you ain’t fooling us lol
Voluntarily?? Doubtful.
Is the crew going to get paid? Do they have some sort of contract? Or are they just going to get screwed…
Oh, don’t worry, we’re getting screwed.
Thanks for nothing Charlie, hope you get the help you need while those of us living paycheck to paycheck scramble to get by.
Are you that dumb? Did you not know going into this show that Charlie has a severe history of getting in trouble with the law?
Why would you even take the job? Like living on the edge? Well, Charlie does too.
Say it’s eight years ago. You have a choice of working on a sitcom produced by Chuck Lorre, a guy with a multi-million dollar deal at Warner Bros., or a sitcom produced by some guy who’s just gotten his first showrunner gig. You probably figure it’s worth the Charlie Sheen gamble to go with the Lorre show.
Say it’s two years ago, dead cold in the recession. You have a choice of working on the number one sitcom with its screwed up star or…shit, it’s a recession, there is no “or.”
Dear Paul, thanks for epitomizing the idiocy of some of these comments.
I agree with Don’t Blame the Victims. Charlie Sheen is being horribly irresponsible and there isn’t much the studio, the network or the producers can do because in the real world, there are contracts and obligations that need to be met.
Plus, work is work and while you may have a nice cushy job where you are probably making more money than is reasonable, others who are living paycheck to paycheck are finding work harder to come by.
Stop complaining you soft ass, golden time, smoke … eat … BREAK… union wussie. Enjoy the ride. You’re just mad your meal ticket is in jeopardy.
I am, in fact, angry that Charlie has been so irresponsible, placing our living at serious risk. Your uniformed post, clearly written by someone who has never spent a minute working behind the studio gates, exposes you for the idiot you are.
So his publicist lied earlier when he said he was admitted to the hospital for an ulcer?
Oh, publicists lie to protect their clients? That’s a shocker.
Are we talking about proper rehab, or the kind of rehab where you can drink beer but no hard liquor?
Either way, if he feels that he has a problem, I hope he gets the help he needs.
Hollywood should just get out of the Charlie Sheen business. He is nothing but a disreputable lout, a lousy actor and an inveterate drunk. The fact that all of Hollywood enables Mr. Sheen is an embarrassment to all of us working in this damn industry.
It amazes me when I go to dinner parties and people STILL lambaste Michael Vick for his criminal ways with dogs but won’t let it go, even after he’s served his time. These very same people find a “soft spot” for good ole Charlie, transgression after transgression. It’s as if Charlie has the “white boy pass” and keeps on getting off with an aw shucks shrug and a polite tap on the wrist.
God, our industry sucks sometimes. Sheen represents the heights of selfish narcissistic excess. Does he even take time to consider that people on his “show” depend on him being present to put food on the table? Nope. Instead he’s got a fifth in one hand and a slatternly lady’s exposed breast with the other.
How about some understanding for his addiction? He is clearly suffering and needs help, just like Robert Downey did. Unfortunately for some it’s a life long battle. I hope Charlie gets better.
I think “clearly suffering” is an odd turn-of-phrase here. Yes, he’s clearly in the thrall of an addiction, but he does not appear to be suffering. My aunt who may lose her house because all the jobs in her nowhere town have dried up/her husband has defaulted on even pretending to pay alimony or child support/is about to lose her unemployment benefits is nearing suffering given how much mental stress she puts herself under trying to remedy this situation. To my eyes, she is suffering and it really sucks. To those same eyes, Charlie Sheen is not.
what an ignorant comment. your aunt AND charlie sheen can be suffering at the same time in totally different ways. and when someone is so self-destructive and incapable of being a good parent, employee, etc. due to a medical condition, which addiction is, THAT is suffering. this guy is acting like an idiot and it’s easy to say he’s just a spoiled hollywood actor, but there should always be room for empathy with someone dealing w/ addiction.
Even if addiction is a “medical condition,” it’s a self-imposed one because one knows if he or she is drifting near addiction with alcohol and knows the first time they even try cocaine that it’s addictive. And if often occurs in people who refuse to seek help for the underlying psychological issues.
Really? You are altered….
The difference is that Vick’s actions had innocent victims, albeit nonhuman ones. Still, most people like dogs more than they like people. Charle Sheen’s main victim is Charlie Sheen. If Robert Downey Jr. can kick for good, so can he.
What about Charlie Sheen’s 4 young children? Aren’t they innocent victims in all this?
@Bob Westal
What about his ex-wife Brooke Mueller (sp) and the woman from December? One he held at knife point, the other he threatened in a hotel room in New York. Plus there have been many other women he’s attacked or threatened over the years.
How easily we forget the victims when they are women. Charlie Sheen hurts more than just himself and his children. He has directly hurt adult women and gotten away with it time and time again.
That, more than anything else, is the real tragedy here.
Puppies and innocent babies (in the custody of responsible others) and fairytales about twelve steps of self-help notwithstanding, there are flesh and blood victims of violence at the hand of Charlie Sheen who go unmentioned day after day.
Amazing how easily people forget.
Bob & Anonymous,
Let’s not forget about the cast & crew of “Two and a Half Men”! Certainly none of them asked for this, and this is the second time in less than a year that they’ve been forced into an unexpected hiatus due to Charlie’s failure to stick with a sobriety program.
Regardless of whether Charlie entered rehab voluntarily or felt forced to enter, I just hope that, now that he’s there, he will wake up and take a real look at the damage he is causing to himself and others.
I’m not going to comment about those specific charges, but I just looked him on Wikipedia and, yes, he clearly has some history of domestic violence, though the specific acts you mentioned aren’t included. Assuming it’s correct, however his “step” where he makes amends to people is going to be very long indeed, if he ever gets there. Still, not knowing all the details I wouldn’t necessarily want to weigh it morally against the practice of systematically torturing and killing animals. That’s one minefield I don’t care to enter!
But, yes, actually, if I even remembered the domestic abuse allegations, I probably would have kept my mouth shut. You have a point that people might hold a grudge against Vick longer for a lot of reasons not related to what he actually did.
totally agree! why do black people always have to TRY to compare all stupid white people behavior with mike vick?!? the black community needs better heroes. i can say this… i’m 1/2 black
mike vick was the ringleader of a major criminal organization that, among other crimes, inhumanely murdered dogs! charlie sheen is a drunk/addict, which is a medical illness. they are not even close to the same thing.
Because you are half-Black, you feel you can make an idiotic and stereotypical comment?
That’s right, Brenda.
Brenda, you sound like you just got done smoking coke with Sheen. Just because you’re 1/2 Black means you get to make racist generalizations about Black people. Time for you to go on hiatus from Deadline.
How can anyone compare Michael Vick to CS? Vick did his time so now he’s a good guy? He talks to kids about dogs every Tuesday so now he is reformed? He does what he does because thats what the judge ordered. Don’t forget that he ran a interstate criminal enterprise for over 5 years. How bought homes and financed the whole thing, not to mention that he personally killed dogs by drowning, electrocution, shooting and slamming them into the ground. He is complete scum and always will be.
Please drop the Vick thing. The only reason he was put in jail was because most white people care about dogs way more than they do about black people.
As for Sheen, he’s an addict who while responsible for his behavior is increasingly less capable of controlling it. He, like Vick, is just another flawed human being who is enabled by all the people who’ve been profiting off his one man shit show of a life. It’ll catch up to him like it does with everyone.
Hopefully, he’ll have a life to put back together as Vick has tried to do instead of drowning in a pool of his own vomit on the floor of some hotel bathroom in Vegas.
That”s because numerous reports have indicated Michael Vick is NOT remorseful about his situation, regardless of if he has served his time or not. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and he’s on fire.
Brett, I haven’t seen any of these “numerous reports” you speak of regarding Mr. Vick…I think you are making that up… although if we’re speaking of not remorseful, let’s discuss Mr. Sheen who for years not only hasn’t been remorseful, he hasn’t even acknowledged a problem. And as for smoke and fire when everyone around Charlie is telling him his life is on fire… Charlie asks for another light.
I agree, Deg. I’m a hard-core sports fan and I haven’t heard anything about Vick not being remorseful. In fact, I’ve heard and seen the opposite.
It is pathetic how this industry’s vision blurs at the sign of dollars…and miraculously cleared up for the same reason! I feel for the guy’s struggle… I do. But it is no secret his habits and vices yet the industry turns a blind eye and keeps shooting only responding when the situation is a crisis. Transparent!
you really don’t see a difference in being utterly self-destructive with total indifference to your own well-being and being utterly inhumane with total indifference to repeated calculated gross mistreatment of defenseless animals? are you that dense? personally i feel Vick paid his debt to society and should be allowed to go on with his life, especially considering all the awareness he’s brought to the scourge of dog fighting and the fact that he can still throw a football. but there’s a huge difference between repeatedly inhumanely murdering animals and being an overindulged drug addict. i know it’s tough being a minority in Hollywood, but this has nothing to do with race dumb-dumb.
blah, blah, blah!
If you thing what Charlie is going through is the same as what Michael Vic did you need rehab!
I think this statement is part of the problem.
1. None of these people would have a job if it weren’t for Charlie Sheen
2. If all of these people were dependent on me, I may or may not crack under that pressure once in a while too. Charlie is already susceptible since he has a serious disease.
Think about it!
Well, there’s one key difference. A grown dog is more sentient than a newborn baby. More in tune with fear, pain, rage. Inflicting torture on a helpless creature is a lot different than indulging addictions to drugs and sex. Charlie’s actions haven’t really harmed anyone outside his small orbit until now.
Don’t be so dismissive of the carnage others are suffering from because of the pain of addiction’s ripple effects. They are brutal and go much farther (and in many, many more directions than I can mention in this post)than you seem to realize. Your use of the term “small orbit” is really a reflection of how much of the world you choose to empathize with.
Of courses,I love animals, too. Vick’s inhumanity should put him away for life… maybe with some rehab, too. Someone that pathological may have a clouded mind, right? Underneath most of life’s most tragic tales is the rampant reality of garden-variety addiction in this country.
To who it may concern,
What Charlie Sheen done didn’t harm anyone but himself, that was his won personal choice. On the other hand what Micheal Vick did was as cruel and inhumane as anything that even the worst person could come up with. There is a difference between harming others or animals than yourself. It’s not the fact that Micheal Vick killed these dogs, but in the matter in which he killed them. People need to realize that Charlie Sheen is not a bad or horrible person, he just has some personal issues where on the other hand Micheal Vick in my oppinean is as low as you can get. Taking these innocent animals lives and doing horrifying things to them is uncalled for. If you don’t want these animals then give them to someone who does or at least turn them lose and give them a chance to survive.
I myself am a animal lover and it bothers me to see people like him just get a slap on the rist for what he done. He does not deserve any other animals or even have any connection to them.
Charle Sheen or Micheal Vick, hummm, I take Charlie as a friend anyday, at least I know my dog would be safe.
Yours’ truly,
Reality Check
@ Reality
That’s just plain simple-minded. Sheen is a nice guy until he slams his Benz into your Jetta at a stoplight because he had too many personal issues with some stripper in Vegas three nights earlier.
You like animals. I get it. But Vick is just a guy who doesn’t give a shit about dogs. Sheen IS a horrible person who has been lucky enough not to have killed any of his ex-wives or the numerous hookers he’s threatened (yet). It’s funny when you’re drunk and you fall down the stairs after the Superbowl. It’s not funny being high every day all day for days on end not giving a shit about any of the HUMAN BEINGS whose lives you are invariably making difficult and/or dangerous.
So animal violence, not okay, but okay to threaten and allegedly physically abuse women? Including an ex-fiance that he shot in the arm? And his two ex-wifes who have claimed domestic abuse against him? Not so bad a guy. Just demons.
Really? Nobody in this discussion understands the disease of addiction (drugs/alcohol for Sheen; private lives of stars for us)? And then you actually equate a medically established disease which kills countless sufferers each day to an exploitative, animal-abusive sociopath like Vicks (who may also have an addiction that clouds his judgement…who knows…)? Ignorance kills. This chat is sad.
Sounds like the insurance company wised up.
good luck to him and for the sake of his children i really hope he gets his act together! they need their daddy healthy and well!!
Just curious, if any of you are agents/managers, what happens to the rest of the cast during a hiatus like this one? Are most contracts between talent and studio set up so that if something like this happens, they still get paid despite being on hiatus? Or are these guys basically not seeing another check until production resumes?
cast is paid per eps so it doesnt matter when they shoot it, they will get paid for it. Most of the crew is screwed.
“cast is paid per eps so it doesnt matter when they shoot it, they will get paid for it. Most of the crew is screwed.”
Right, the cast gets paid WHEN they shoot it. So if no eps are shot for a month, that means a month without checks. And sure, for people making hundreds of thousands an ep it’s survivable but if you were making that kind of coin and possibly had a big piece of your nut taken away, you’d be bummed.
The crew members truly are the ones who get ROYALLY screwed.
Only IF they actually produce the episodes. In theory, for those with contracts, WB could call this an event of force majeure and suspend (w/o pay), then possibly terminate everyone above and below the line. For those without contracts = at will. C’ya!
Yes and no. Last year they were supposed to do 24, but because of his rehab timeout they did 22. If they wind up doing 18 or 20 this year instead of 24 that’s a lot of money for people. Plus, if they did them straight through, then I’m done, and can go find new work elsewhere. This way I have to wait, unpaid, for a month-ish because I don’t want to give up that 10 weeks of work that may exist when he gets back.
Yup, I signed on for a risky business, but that doesn’t mean that his antics don’t make it worse.
Martin Sheen seems like such a nice guy, but what the heck did he and his wife do to that poor kid to mess him up like that. Yeah, Charlie bears most of the responsibility, he’s an adult, so to speak, but man, talk about not preparing your kid for adulthood!
Repeating another poster from a few days ago, blaming Charlie Sheen’s parents for his condition is idiotic. Some people get the addictive gene – one that misses generations and ends up screwing one kid in the bunch. The balance of the family – Charlie’s siblings – aren’t in the news every day so worth noting this aspect.
Thank God, finally. I wish Charlie and those who love and work with him the best.
Quitter.
IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME. there’s no point in risking $1.825 mil an EP.
You’d think at that budget they could get some writers who can come up with jokes that don’t sound like they came from the mouth of a 12 year-old.
Worst comedy writing on television. Actually, scratch that — second worst, after The Big Bang Theory.
How anyone could get through an entire episode of these shows is beyond me.
completely agree… Both shows are horribly written.
Until he admits he has a problem he won’t change. Once admits his problem he needs to work the 12 steps. Just admitting the problem is not enough. He needs to work the 12 steps. As much as I disagree with his “choices” I do not want to see anything happen to him. He has childern that need a their dad.
Acknowledging a problem doesn’t matter if you don’t care whether or not you have it and are in fact enjoying it.
i am so sick of his selfish crap…either get better or just die already and let someone more deserving replace you.
Publicists lie, yes, but a good one wouldn’t get caught up in them so many times over. Charlie’s rep has been proven to be a liar numerous times, and a lot of the time shortly after the initial comment from him. I am glad Charlie has decided to get help. Regardless of if he is successful in his career, he has FOUR young kids that need a RESPONSIBLE dad. I don’t care how rich you are, if you have children, at 50 you should not be hanging out with porn stars and doing coke all day. I’m sorry, but you should be WITH YOUR KIDS.
First of all, Charlie Sheen is living the dream half of the guys who move to Hollywood dream. God Bless him for indulging in cocaine and hookers and walking down the road of excess. Maybe he will entertain us someday with the derived wisdom.
Derived wisdom, is that a translation for book deal?
Until he admits he has a problem he won’t change. Once admits his problem he needs to work the 12 steps. Just admitting the problem is not enough. He needs to work the 12 steps. As much as I disagree with his “choices” I do not want to see anything happen to him. He has childern that need a their dad.
As of all the BS as he has done he still is person that needs help. He has a family that cares.
I stated yesterday the show should write him off for a few weeks so he can get help. Charlie needs long term rehab & 1/2 way house. He should not check into “Malibu Rehab”. He should venture outside the stae where there is no cameras.
I wish him well I really do. We should always wish go things for people.
Charlie Sheen is an asshole whose time is just about up.
At least we know who the “Half” man the show title refers to…
Didn’t he chase one of his wives or girlfriends around with a knife? I guess she’s not a victim because she didn’t end up dead, right?
Fuck Charlie Sheen. The fuckin junkie. What’s with the double standard here? Between him and say Lindsay Lohan who gets roasted? Oh cause he has a hit tv show so it’s ok to be an abusive lunatic drug addict!
Unlike Lilo, though, so far he has never threatened lives of other people on the road by driving under the influence (as far as we know). He may threaten people in his life, but they chose to be with him; they were not other innocent motorists.
Hey, so the guy likes to party. Otherwise he gets up, goes to work on time and brings home a check. If it wasn’t for the TMZ’s of the world who would know what he does in his spare time?
He’s no worse off than a lot of guys I know. He just happens to have a hand ringing audience scrutinizing his every move.
Who else would know .. how about the criminal justice system. All you masturbating mental midgets conveniently overlook his repeat assaults on woman after woman including shooting Kelly Preston. Guy doesn’t even have the nuts to beat up on men. Yeah, he’s a real dream.
Couldn’t agree more. Charlie has abused women for years. He probably drinks and does drugs cause deep down inside he knows what a sick fuck he truly is.
Sick to death of people talking about him as a “lovable screw-up” and the guys on this board saying he’s their hero – that he’s living the life most men would want to live – are a bunch of sick fucks too.
So men what to go to Hollywood to earn a lot of money so they can be enabled by a bunch of studio and network heads to abuse women and get away with it? That chick in charge of CBS should get her fucking head examined. Better yet, why doesn’t she check into a hotel with Charlie, let him booze it up like he does, do a little blow with him and see how long it will take him to put a knife to her throat. Stupid bitch.
I feel sorry for the crew who have relied on this ass to put food on their tables. But if there was ever a time to get out – this is it. Charlie’s got a long road ahead – if he makes it. It took Robert Downey Jr. a long time to get his shit together. I don’t see Charlie getting thru this any time soon.
As to comments about Jon Cryer – I sat in the audience of that show some years ago and let me tell you – Jon is funnier OFF camera than he is on. Goes to show you how lame those scripts really have become.
Charlie needs serious help and he probably should have been doing some serious jail time but as the saying goes, “Money talks, bullshit walks.” In Charlie’s case, both seem to apply.
Echoing the questions above: what does happen to the cast and crew in a situation like this?
Since this is not a force majeure issue, I believe the regular cast members have to get paid since they are picked up for a full season’s worth of episodes. (And one has to believe that each and every one of them would make sure that their recently negotiated contracts accounted for the inevitability of Charlie going to rehab.)
But it wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s the crew that gets screwed, since they are not on contracts. Maybe insurance – if the studio could actually get it on Sheen at this point – might cover a week or two. But if they miss 2, 3, 4 paychecks thanks to Sheen’s selfishness, that’s not going to be pretty when he gets back.
Lastly, what about the writing staff? Are they paid? Even if they are, these lost episodes, and the writers who might’ve written them, the directors who would’ve directed them, and the guest cast who might’ve appeared in them, will lose those checks and all the attendant residuals forever.
………and I will remind you that none of the people on the show would have had jobs in the first place if it hadn’t been for Sheen.
And, as everyone knows Sheen’s history, it was their choice to take a risky job or not. No one forced them.
Yeah, he’s a god.
@ disgruntled
That’s like saying J.J. Abrams wouldn’t be a successful movie director if Gene Roddenberry hadn’t created Star Trek. One has nothing to do with the other. Those cast and crew would have likely all had jobs they just wouldn’t all be working on the same show as they are (at least for the time being) are now.
He needs some tough love from all those around him, his family, friends and business associates. He needs serious long term help now. And he shouldn’t be excused from responsibility for himself either. How is he going to feel when his kids are old enough to understand everything he’s been into. Every upcoming stage of his kids lives is a possible crisis waiting to happen to them and to him because of what he is doing now. Pass it on.
